Good point, Angie. I will post another thread showing them full length with options (including my new Isabel shorts).

Another vote for #1/2. They look great in the photos!

However, try them with shorts, skirts, dresses and clams too, Sarah. You need to make sure that you like the higher colour contrast.

Thanks for you input, ladies. There seems to be clear consensus for 1/2. I am laughing here, though, because I am SO vamp-challenged, in terms of knowing how to style varying vamps...

I like everything about the first pair! I think that color will work with just about everything, and I love the stacked sole! BBQ!

They would be super cute with jeans....I am not sure if they will work with dresses, shorts etc because of the higher vamp and dark color.....I'm not an expert though, what do you think?

I think the first shoe could definitely work as an all around summer shoe. The vamp is lower than the other pair and it looks more stylish. The color is really pretty too--it looks olive/grey to me and I think it could work as a neutral. I could see it with pretty much everything except perhaps pastels--definitely would work with black, white, red, blue, greens, grey, khaki, etc. I vote buy!

ETA: The vamp on the first pair doesn't look that high to me. I'm betting you can wear them with clams and skirts.

Sarah I like 1/2 best. Lovely flattering shape and vamp. Color seems quite neutral. The second pair do not look to be the color they should be? They look a slightly higher vamp which I don't find as attractive. The narrow peep toe opening on 1/2 is nicer also.

prefer the pikolinos. i like the design of the vamp more and i love that olive-y leather. i would treat as a neutral similar to a brown and would coordinate based on tone.

Honestly, I like both and think either could work as a neutral. I think you'd be surprised at how much the first color would go with.

I feel that I need one more pair of shoes for summer, and I'd like them to have a moderate heel and be casual. I'm thinking that they should probably be neutral, since they would bookend my hair, be leg-lengthening and go with everything. But I'm drawn to these Pikolinos (1/2) - they are very comfortable, but I worry that the color is so odd (although I love it) that it will be hard to fit into my wardrobe, and that with the high vamp, it would be a mistake to have such a high contrast. They don't come in a light neutral (only a darker tan). I also tried these Romika's (3/4). They are a size too big, and in the Nordstrom's photos, they look much lighter than they do IRL, unless the color is mismarked on the box (it's so strange). They also seem comfortable, altho it's hard to know for sure without the right size.

What do you think - should I keep looking for the perfect casual, neutral 1-2" heel? I'm feeling very indecisive.

Thanks. Sorry to post and run to bed...
