Greetings, Cindy! I can't tell you how much easier it is to shop and dress now than my pre-forum days. It takes some effort on the front end, but creating a working wardrobe -- instead of just pretty pieces of clothing, makes me look better with less effort in the long run.

Wonderful! I'm so glad this wonderful site has been a help to you. It is satisfying to be able to weed out all the things that don't work for us and to be able to focus on what does work.

I like what Susie said. It's nice to be confident enough in what works and what doesn't that you can leave a store empty-handed and not feel bad about it. I used to settle for "good enough," but I no longer do. And it's a good feeling!

I now find it surprisingly satisfying to leave a store empty-handed. Part of it is already having plenty of things to wear but it's also now having a better understanding of what works for me and not settling for good enough. I have learned so much here and continue to learn from Angie and the wonderful members here.

It is still disappointing to get something I ordered and find that it doesn't work but I know something even better will come along!

That's fantastic Cindy. Sometimes I think I learn more from the things that don't work than the things that do

That's great! Others here have said it's so frustrating to have to return things / send orders back, and it's true, but it's also really satisfying to receive something and realize right away 'nope, that's not going to work for me because of a, b, or c'. That kind of clarity is enjoyable to have.

This is really just a quick post to express my thanks (photos to follow later) for how much I have learned from your outfit posts, and a thank you to Angie for the level of quality and style discernment you provide to us all. I just got most of my "big" Nordstrom sale order this week, and though disappointed by much of it (quality was high, color and fit were the issues), there was a newfound clarity through the knowledge I've gained here that pleases me. I am now much better at evaluating why something does NOT make me feel fab, and its a subtle distinction in fit and proportion that I didn't grasp before. So often I used to keep and wear items without understanding why they felt off kilter and they would wind up languishing in my closet. I would fall in love with a piece, but not the whole look and it was frustrating not to understand why. Now I get it! Or at least, I get MORE of it and look forward to continuing the learning process. Thank you all!
