Ah, so hard to let go sometimes . . . but I agree if you know it finds a happy home it's easier. My favorite dress (the blue print wrap) went off to live a new life with devon (Debbie) and she sent me pics of it fitting her to a T. That helps ease the pain of letting go lol. I loved everything about that dress but realized it just was too big, sigh.

Lol! I know how you feel. The swap helped me purge some of my favorite things. I had a lace pencil skirt that I LOVED but I realized my duppa would never fit in anything so small : ) It was great to know it was going to a good home. Made parting so much easier.

Do you have any friends that it might work for? Sometimes it's easier to let go if they're going to a "good home."

I took all of your wise advice this weekend and did some purging in little bursts of time. I ended up with a bag for consignment and a laundry basket full of orphans (mostly SKIRTS!), or items that I just can't figure out how to use. I will be posting some photos for advice.

I am not nearly through, but I feel much better having made some progress. The hardest part for me is that I love certain items regardless of whether they fit me. Like I have this amazing vintage ivory silk vest and jacket set that is too big, but I can't stand the thought of it languishing at Value Village. I realize this is dangerously close to "Hoarders", which I dread, so it's going away. But it's like pulling teeth!
