I'd been eyeballing them all summer, but they finally were on sale for $149 so I pulled the trigger. &nbsp;There are two colours, this one, and the darker one that Vivian has. They are definitely rugged though and already look well worn, which is part of their charm . &nbsp;They are probably best for a foot that takes up a lot of depth in a shoe (is that what you call high volume?) &nbsp;and also for women with fuller ankles (I can't think of how else to describe that . &nbsp;I am sort of rattling around in them. I can fix them though &nbsp;(hammer and nail for the win) &nbsp;They have a bootie for fall that I'm going to try on soon too - great pieces in that line . &nbsp; (Freebird by Steven)&nbsp;</p> <p><b>anna -&nbsp;</b>I can see how the t appears that way - I thought of it too, but liked how the fake knot pulled in the volume of the t without me having to tuck it in . In Canada, they are close to $200 a pair. Which to me is high-end enough. &nbsp;I know, I know, I have a mental block against $$ jeans. I have no idea why. &nbsp;And yes, I know they are not designer or woven from Japanese selvege edge denim, but sheesh! &nbsp;I love them because they hold me in. I find jeans always bag out and get bulky in the midsection area on me - and add bumps and buttons and crumpled fly fabric where one really doesn't need it. These may be old-lady jeans, but I like 'em. &nbsp; </p>
