Zaeobi, I’d love to twin with you! On the photos—I wish I could figure out how to get them better.

Sloper, yes, it’s flocked denim. I used to wear them towards the end of the year, in a holidays sort of way. I honestly can’t remember how big I was when I got them. I’m pretty confident about the fit. It’s the general cut/style that I’m wondering about.

Rachylou, I might pull out the cape I got at market a couple years ago—it has black trim and a floral pattern.

Thanks Angie. How do you get your home photos to turn out so well? I’m standing in front of a window, with the light on, using flash. I might make one more attempt on the balcony, and just shoot the bottom half.

I think the fit looks good but agree with the others that we might need a bit of a brighter/ more detailed full-length photo to be able to judge accurately.

I actually used to have a long sleeved top in a similar pattern - it was navy blue with black flocked florals. If I ever find it again when I go back home, I can show you as your forum twin, lol

It's a nice fabric - is that flocking on denim?

I agree with Angie - the side view is good.
Hard to tell from front - did you have these when you were at a larger size? They just seem a bit baggy at the hips.

I’d be wanting to pair them with a drapey sweater and one of my long sweeping coats...

I'm struggling to see the fit and silhouette in enough detail in these pics, but they look like they could work like a carrot leg. Side view looks good, and the flocked denim is fun.

Looking through my closet in light of Angie’s trends report this week, my eye fell on these pants. I haven’t worn them in ages, because of the shape of the legs, but I’ve held onto them because of the flocked fabric. It’s the kind of luxe detail/ lurking quirk that appeals to me. I think of the legs as being very carrot-shaped, so am surprised to see my butt here. What do we think of the pants? Should they come out to play?

I’’m truly undecided, but I’m wearing them for errands today, to see how I feel. If I keep them, this is one idea for how to style them. It didn’t even really matter, because my jacket covered everything on top. It is hair wash day; I wore a hat. The final pic is how I went to the market. Some day I’ll go someplace indoors where I can take those layers off, but that day isn’t here yet.

Thanks for looking and commenting. I always appreciate hearing why people “vote” the way they do on yes/no posts. Sorry for my recent forum-hogging.

ETA. I considered wearing a simple fabric mask, but chose the ffp2/kn95 instead, because the market is crowded.
