It was a great weekend but a tough one, shopping-wise: nothing at all found on Saturday, but a lovely dinner with friends Saturday night, and then -- finally! -- success on Sunday. I re-discovered that while I love designer items and have a few, I am at heart a bargain shopper (I have Derek Lam, Vince, etc., but all bought on deep sale; Rag and Bone, Theory, and Botkier bought on consignment, etc.). Even though I had a nice budget for my birthday, I was loathe to pay full price. Trying on at Saks was PAINFUL. But lo and behold, on Sunday it was Friends and Family day at BOTH Bloomies AND Tory Burch. Hallelujah!
