Sterling... I was actually wondering about the clothes that did NOT make it into your challenge.  You'd said that the challenge made you appreciate them when you could wear them again... I am curious if you found there were pieces that once you lived without them for the 30 days, you had no desire to wear again.  Greyscale, really?  Thank you for that. I honestly don't feel very cohesive, I feel all over the place.  Which frustrates me.  Maybe I`m doing better than I thought! Anonymous on "30x30, week 1" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/30x30-week-1#post-1818224 Sat, 24 Jun 2017 11:34:48 +0000 Anonymous 1818224@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Well, not exactly.   I came to realize there were work horses in my closet that could get me through anything, even a 30 x 30 challenge.  One pair of grey ponte pants became famous during the challenge.  I wore them to work.  I wore them on outings with friends.  I wore them to clean the house.   This was really important information.  Naturally, I bought another pair of ponte pants in black.  For some reason, I still continued to wear the grey.  That was when I realized I was tired of black in general.  This was the very beginning of a transition away from black in my wardrobe.   So I bought another pair of grey ponte pants.  These two pants form the backbone of my winter wardrobe because of the lesson learned during the challenge.   I did not stop wearing any of the items from the 30 x 30 because I was tired of them.  I just changed my closet to accommodate what I learned.  I still own the black and two ponte pants.  I still wear the grey ponte pants nearly constantly during the winter months.   skylurker on "30x30, week 1" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/30x30-week-1#post-1818215 Sat, 24 Jun 2017 11:19:20 +0000 skylurker 1818215@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Love #6, the cobalt with white and silver, the boatneck and the trousers shape. Suz... that is so sweet, thank you.  So, am I a modern classic?  I've never been able to land on style descriptors, it's been quite frustrating.  I do feel that in the last year I've been gravitating more back to how I used to dress, (but with a few more clues).  Simple -  sweaters and pants but in more current silhouettes.  For a while I was trying to add some edge to my outfits, but I haven't been doing that so much lately, and I'm not sure if it's laziness, or if it was a bit forced.  Maybe soft edge is where I need to land.  Modern classic with a soft edge.  ????  Or maybe my hair is adding the oomph that I needed, and wasn't present with my long brown hair? Sterling, I also feel we have similar styles, and often seem to wear a similar colour palette. I am off so have some time.  I posted about my version of the challenge <a rel="nofollow" href="http://https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/my-30x30cough-20-attempt">here </a> 1-2:  My capsules, based on navy, and black. 3:  Monday 4-5:  4 is WIW on Tuesday.  Not part of the capsule... it was Tuesday night that I had my lightbulb moment about how I could participate in this challenge.  So, 5  is what I would have worn, based on the weather... it was a coolish day. 6.  Wednesday 7:  Thursday. You'll note the bag in #5 isn't part of the capsule... it's my work tote, which I carry every day, for my coffee, lunch, laptop etc,  so I didn't include it.  I often also carry a bag, which I will include.  I just document it on my Stylebook "looks" for Cost per wear, so it shows here. So there we go, week one done.  I can see already that I may have included too many white tops, and will miss patterns.  I'm also not totally sure I'll wear the white cardigan over the tops I've chosen. So there may be some swapping happening... which I'm allowed to do, as long as the item isn't worn. And... dang it... I have the black version of the sweater in 4, which I generally reserve for the winter, and wear this one in the spring.  So now that I've seen Angie's blog post today, I'm thinking I'd like to wear it now, with my black crops.  Four days in and I'm already wanting to break the "rules"!!  Not sure I'd wear it enough to do a swap, I'd just like to wear it once.... and this is why these challenges rarely work for me :) As always I'm open to any styling suggestions and comments.
