DH said he knew enough not to buy me clothes because I'm too picky. So he snuck into my closet and determined my shoe size, then deliberately picked this pair because he thought they were... well.. sexy. :-0</p> <p>Inge - finding an unopened present in the New Year is sad testament to the sorry state of our living room at present moment, I'm afraid. And the fact DH has been sick for over a week, and not thinking as clearly as usual. </p> <p>Angie - Yes, I *can* walk in them - I'm VERY surprised about that! There must be something right about the vamp for me; normally shoes this high just put me into horrible pain with every step, and I can barely walk. In these I can not only walk... I can strut. :-)</p> <p>I don't think I could wear them for hours on end, but definetly for a date night (provided there's no ice and snow on the ground to break my neck!). </p> <p>I will have to experiment with what to wear with them. I'm still thinking best bet is PPL slacks... they may work with my velvet slacks or a pair of black dress pants I have that have always been annoyingly long to begin with. </p> <p>Violet: pencil skirts are one item I have a really hard time finding. It is a pair of 3-1/2 inch pointy-toed, crimson patent leather Ralph Lauren Black Label pumps!!!</p> <p>I don't usually wear anything over 2 inches... 2-1/2 inches is my absolute limit. </p> <p>However, I have to say.... these shoes are surprisingly comfortable, and I can even walk in them without looking foolish! (For how long... is anyone's guess at this point). </p> <p>So what do I wear with them? My jeans are all hemmed for lower heels. Except, I guess, my straight legs and my skinnies, which are hemmed for scrunchability with any heel height. </p> <p>DH and I have the anniversary of our first date - 7 years ago - coming up in a few weeks. </p> <p>Suggestions? </p>
