You'll be brainwashed in no time!

Really, look at models. Yes, they're 6000 feet tall, and the circumference of a toothpick, but what's their *next* defining feature? That's right - shoulders! The rest of us are all whining and moaning about how our breasts or our tummies or our hips are messing with the line of the drape - but inverted triangles wear the clothes like goddesses.

I must have missed "statuesque" - not a word I have thought of in relation to myself before! I will have to ponder appropriate adjectives.

Funny, my brain can see how strong shoulders would be good for clothes, but I struggle with it. I'm sure YLF and Angie will have me sorted in no time!

I always think of "inverted triangle" as "walking clothes hanger" (that's a compliment, by the way). So many garments hang so well from a strong shoulder line.

I think most of the people before me were correct in "Inverted Triangle" but also try "Rectangle." That's me too! (:

It's "statuesque inverted triangle" by the way. And any adjective will work as long as you are happy with it.

Maya, you can be an edgy Euro hourglass.

Well I never liked being "hot" Alison (that is one of those words that just rubs me the wrong way), so I'll gladly trade. I'd rather be an inverted hourglass (since it's basically the same thing anyway...). And you can be a hot triangle!

Nice job with the repost. Now you can streamline your shopping like I did. Knowing my body type helped a lot.

Thanks ladies! At least know I know for sure what I'm dealing with.

I do kind of wish there was a more exciting way to describe this one, all the others are adorable, pretty, hot, racy...somehow being inverted doesn't sound as fun. I like to think of it as an ice cream cone, with a slightly less pointy end. So maybe waffle cone?

Alison, well done on posting some more photos! Inverted triangle indeed, and I'd say you have rectangle tendencies as well.

You are an inverted triangle as you suspected.

Hi Alison. I'm definitely no expert, however I would think inverted triangle. I'm not sure about the secondary body type though? Hopefully some of the real experts will chime in soon!

Tried again, this time with workout clothes. Please excuse the post-work, pre-dinner, I-can't-believe-I'm-posting-these-on-the-web scowly face. :)

http://picasaweb.google.com/lh.....directlink

http://picasaweb.google.com/lh.....directlink

My guess is still inverted triangle, maybe with a side of rectangle? As I mentioned in my other post, my shoulders and upper back make my top half at least a full size different than my lower half. Input from the experts would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
