I'm so glad they are working for you! Yay!

After reading more posts about them I'm worried about mine now and afraid I may have screwed them up with the hemming, but if they are for tucking into boots only, then so be it... I was having the same problem with them bunching up everywhere because they were so long, so I figured it was best to leave them no room to move! I will be watching for scrunching lessons, LOL.

I am glad you like the skinnies after all.
For me it is usually another way around: I like it first and then 24 h later I return

Glad you got through your flu Definitely wash and air dry them a couple times before doing the hemming! Agree with Rita re scrunch and photo requests.

Can you post a picture of them before you hem? They should have a good deal of scrunch at the bottom. Also, you will want to launder them before you hem them in case they come up a bit in the wash.

It's hard to say if they'll fold on the legs or not yet because I have to get about 4 inches cut off first! They need serious hemming (cursed short legs!) so they currently don't sit quite right anyway due to the excess fabric.

I'm so glad to hear that, Shannon! I was just getting ready to post on your other thread, and tell you that I tried on three sizes of the W&W jeans, and felt like I could have worn any of the three. They're so stretchy that the size isn't so important, and exchanging them for one size up or down would probably make very little difference.

My one problem with them was that they seem to go into weird circumferential folds around my legs- especially around the knees. Do yours do that? I really wanted to get them because the top part is flattering on my mid-section (think girdle!), but I held off because of the wrinkling effect.

I'm so glad that yours have worked out after all!

After last night's fussing and fretting over the Wit & Wisdom skinny jeans, I came home from work today and tried them on again. And they're fine. Somehow a 24-hour period magically transformed these skinnies into something I will wear.

Lesson #917: Don't make hasty decisions about whether or not an item works when it's outside your comfort zone. You might just have the "24-hour perspective flu".
