Includes new sunglasses (pic 2), summer and winter style, and even my hiking gear since that was what I wore throughout October and into November (pics 22-26) as I walked the entire 500 miles of the Camino de Santiago. </p> <p>I feel mostly content with my wardrobe at this point and am trying to be more deliberate with my shopping. This winter so far I have added a few new solid-color sweaters in my core colors (shades of blue, green, burgundy), and a small weight loss has made some old favorites more wearable again. </p> <p>My outerwear capsule is overflowing but somehow I come up short when I need certain things (a coat that is truly roomy enough to accommodate a bulky sweater), but I’m not sweating it. I’m also on the lookout for a new handbag, but will probably wait until we visit Japan in the spring to make a purchase. </p> <p>I made some purchasing mistakes, which fall mainly into two categories: inexpensive trend- or situation-driven items that don’t work in the long term, or pricier things that don’t meet my quality or style standard after they’ve been put through the paces. But those are becoming less common! As we enter the retirement phase of life, I want to be more content with what I have and more mindful of consumption and churn in my closet. </p>
