I know they don’t have the most pristine reputation but I do love this style. I’ll atone by getting down-alternative comforter (we have put off buying a new one after our old one died a couple of winters ago). </p> <p>I’m holding off on the Tibi sweater. To Jaime’s point, I have been burned by expensive knitwear in the past. So point very well taken.</p> <p>As for the jacket. Here’s the thing. Long coats/jackets are not an easy fit on me. Many are too narrow in the hip. Plus I want a very light, thin long puffer and most are too…puffy! It’s been a bit of a HEWI. My sense is that Tibi fabric can be hit or miss in terms of its durability, so that would be my only caution (and like footwear, it can be hard to know in advance which fabric will hold up well and which won't, but I think 100% wool is a good bet).&nbsp;</p> <p>With the CG coat, I'm a little bit of a spanner, as Angie says: I do like the sage color a lot, but I'm not as keen on the black zippers--something about the high contrast is throwing me (although I hear you on loving the zipper detail, because it improves functionality and makes the coat stand out). Another thing I can't help but wonder about is just how much long-term use you'll get from it (given you are thinking of this as an investment piece), since winters are getting warmer every year. But I realize I'm probably an outlier on this, since I live in a cold climate and don't own a long puffer, and this winter I've only pulled out my hip-length puffer a few times, since it's been so mild!</p> <p>If you really love the idea of a long, relatively lightweight puffer in an interesting color, have you checked out TheRealReal :)? For example, I did a cursory search and found this Rag &amp; Bone, gray-blue, size medium, long lightweight puffer (new with tags), for $428 (see pic). CG shows up regularly on TRR, along with fab puffer brands like Montcler and Herno. It is an essential that won't date.&nbsp;</p> <p>I love the green coat on you. It is quite casual (so hopefully that is okay) but also distinctive because of the zips. The green is a gorgeous colour. Maybe you can go through your wardrobe in Finds and look at the various bottoms you'd likely wear with it to see if there are enough to make you comfortable with the purchase. I suspect most of your pants would work with it well. Though it might feel off with burgundy or red.&nbsp; </p>
