I don't think saffron/ camel & moss are trending right now but I'll use those parameters for online shopping - hopefully it'll turn up something! @Sarah Thank you I'm confident I'll find what I need... eventually! I might need to roll some of the colours over to next year's goals (see comment to @Stag above) Commiserations on the pile - we can set each other forum Challenges, if you like, to motivate ourselves? Not sure I could live in London - no more hectic cities for me (for now)! Sounds like a big move is in the works for you too - wise to plan for it already... Yes, I already planned & brought my black capsule wardrobe back to the UK this summer Got multiple coat in there, lol! I was supposed to share it with the forum but then life got in the way - maybe once I'm back in the UK (so I can test drive it)? @cardiff I do have a dark green raincoat here (as a 'good enough' backup) - here's hoping I can find a teal green one instead! @olive @suntiger @bonnie Me too! Here's hoping I can find enough saffron yellow at retail (I remain slightly skeptical, to be honest)... I've also noticed that 'saffron' can also be used to describe a more reddish shade instead, hmm... @suz I'll try not to snap my Finds all at once but that's probably what I'll realistically end up doing anyway, since I hate leaving things half done Maybe I should do it by category (after a closet cleanout/ refresh)... Good point about dressiness - have had to really train myself to 'dress down' out here, so something that straddles the line works because it satisfies both needs @Nikki Thank you, haha! Tackling the alterations pile will give you a clearer sense of what you have. Ditto for putting everything in Finds. It's a pain to do it all at once if you need to do custom finds (and mostly, you may, depending where you are purchasing) but if you do it bit by bit, it isn't too bad. I have a few (very few) items still not in Finds, but mostly I remember to snap a pic now, when I wear them.  I like your idea of playing more with texture and shine. Big yay to shine and texture especially! I like the idea of saffron as a light neutral, but yellows can definitely be tricky to get just right. There seems a lot more leeway with dark colors. It's interesting that you consider petrol teal and kingfisher blue as green, whereas I see them as blue! They are gorgeous colours and I can see you wearing them very well! Texture and shine are on my forefront too, especially after seeing some fab outfits shared this year! Good luck with your plan to move back to the UK in 2024, I am hoping to move out by 2028 and I already started thinking if my purchases will suit UK and FR weather. HK is usually milder than UK, you may want to take this under consideration for your next purchases. D ~ Upload my wardrobe to Finds! - This should be the year where I FINALLY stop working in academia & 'slow' down (to 'just' one part-time job & an MA(!) lol), so I'll have to dress for fewer events. I also anticipate moving back home in 2024, so it would be wise to dial back on purchasing, & instead record SYC-ing here** E ~ Start my Alterations Pile! ** I can't say I won't shop AT ALL this year, because I do still have HEWIs, but I want to be better about letting go once I've found a replacement. So this should help - I've bought things in the past because I forgot I had a version of it waiting to be repaired (oops)! But I took photos & categorised my pending alterations this year, which helped to cut down on this issue (& extra donations) considerably. ----------------- Whew, navel gazing over - you've got good stamina if you made it this far, lol!
