I am keeping it a bit shorter now, so we can trim off the darker ends. Overall, I am having fun experimenting. Time is often a challenge. Getting hair colour right as we age is so tricky, and I think you're on the right path here. &nbsp;I have, well, *had* been considering letting mine move to a natural grey, but it wasn't working. &nbsp;After years of doing different versions of blonde , I just (very spur of the moment) went back to a dark brown . As I get older I find I am more comfortable in my own skin with wrinkles, scars and all.<br /> Thank you La Belle. I have had 2 Brazillian Blowout treatments in the last 4 months and been using the Brazillian Blowout shampoo, conditioner and styling cream to extend the smoothness. My first treatment lasted for 14 weeks. I usually only need to wash my hair 2-3 times per week. After washing and applying the stying cream, I let my hair air dry for a few minutes then use a hair dryer on medium heat. I use a tiny amount of coconut oil on the ends and I slide a flat iron over the top layer of hair almost every day.<br /> Thank you Emily K and Shevia. I only dyed mine once as a trial 10 years ago and decided I didn't like it so I would keep letting it grey. It seems to allow me to wear a greater range of colours which is one nice aspect of it. I was always "warm" in colouring but can now wear cooler colours better than before. Thank you so much. I knew this was going to be a big change for me. I began going gray in my twenties and was not ready to embrace the color, so for 30 years I have dyed my hair between chocolate browns, reds and varying shades in between, but my hair has always been dark. My hair dresser lifted as much color from my hair as she could and has tried to keep me in a cool beige shade. Sometimes that has worked and sometimes it hasn’t. Due to the remaining color, my hair leans towards gold, so we need to tone it from time to time. My salon visits have changed from every 3 weeks to every 5 or 6 and after each visit I seem to have a different color. What I do know is that I like how my silver gray and white hair is coming in, so I need to stay committed to the process. I am 6 months into the transition and it may take another 8-12 months, especially if I want to keep my hair shoulder length. Thank you so much for your kind words. It's been fun! I definitely find that the colours I wear have shifted a bit. If you buy into the seasonal theory I was always a "cool or true summer." And I still am. But now I look better in stronger, brighter versions of my old favourites. I haven't really changed makeup much but I'm a minimal makeup user anyway. Most are related to my commitment to transition to my natural gray / white hair, which is going the route of blond, due to the residual dye still in my hair. To assess, reassess and stay open to color changes, as my hair continues to evolve.<br /> 2. To devote time to figuring out my make-up. To make life easier, I have been limiting makeup to mascara, a bit of eye liner and a neutral lip stick. I prefer the more polished look that foundation and blush provide. Colors for those may also need to evolve. I find make up colors harder to get right, due to lighting.<br /> 3. To take more selfies......hahaha....no, not because I am vain, but because they give me a chance to study clothing and accessory colors with my ever changing hair. See a few examples below.<br /> 4.
