I'm going back to shirts after a long leave of absence. I had been partial to knits only for a few years. I love my wrap dresses, and continue to wear them even though I may not have the correct body type to fill them out. They are easy and have the best patterns.

I plan to get a pair of oxfords and some loafers when it gets cooler here. I used to have these many years ago and am excited to bring them back again. And I did get a pair of slip on sneakers for the cooler summer days.

Sneakers, I have not worn them in years. I bought 4 pair this year and one pairs have become designated garden shoes already. Comfy inside and outside.

Oxfords and lace-up sneakers. Bootcut jeans, although I never stopped wearing them on occasion.

angie maybe a shirt gal, but for the last decade or so, i've been a total knits girl. but in the last year, i've bought, and worn 4 button downs! the other thing i'm back into is belts....for the past few years i had stopped wearing them, but now with semi tucking, i'm back to wearing them.

I'm Shirt Gal. Wear them whether they are in or out of fashion. For me, a stiff masculine shirt (popped, scrunched and tucked) is always in style for my body type and style persona - the same way Janet feels about bootcut jeans.

I do make sure that the shirt fits are updated. Although I did haul out an old fitted white shirt to wear with new '80s pink pants this Summer.

I don't know about classic styles, but I pulled out a 1990s black leather duster in the fall and wore it quite a bit. Prior to that I hadn't worn it in years. It always makes me feel like Buffy the vampire slayer.

Interesting question. I can think of a couple of classic styles that I hadn't worn in years which made their way back into my wardrobe this year.

One is a pair of black high-heeled pumps. This is something of an experiment and I'm still not sure if they're really working for me as I tend to favour a chunkier shoe.

The other is a pair of New Balance sneakers, because I wanted to have a go at some normcore styling. I've not worn kicks that weren't Converse for years, but they were pretty useful during the summer as an alternative to sandals. But I don't think I nailed normcore. It's quite boring.

Mine was rediscovering wrap dresses. I haven't worn a wrap dress for years, but bought 3 of them this year. I just love how they flatter my figure and how I feel much more like myself than I do in just about any other style I can think of.

Always trying's post on new trends had be thinking about what old trends I had embraced or experimented with over the year. You know, those classic pieces that have been around for decades, but that you've consistently avoided.
Last week, I wore a body con dress for the first time to a very special event. I was traveling and didn't have a dress for the occasion, because the lack of fancy events in my life in the US meant that my few dressy pieces were in Canada. The Black Halo Jackie O dress, covering both my elbows and knees, caught my fancy. It's a true body con, but I feel very feminine in it because of how it defines the waist and flatters the lumps and bumps of my lower half.
What about you?
