What a perfect T in #2! And I like it with your choice of simple, pretty necklace. I'm also liking #2 as is -- I looked at the necklace for awhile, too, but decided that it's slightly "RATE" look, along with the "grounding" quality of the gladiator sandals prevents the outfit from looking too "cute."

Well done!

I like your creative solution of layering the tunic over a skirt. It looks great!

So smart to layer underneath the dress! You are giving your tunic more possibilities for wear,
I like it.

You are so clever to come up with a solution for a too short dress! Outfit looks great and you rock the cropped jeans in #1.

I love 2! I think the skirt under looks like it is supposed to be there. Nice match. I have this problem and trying myself to find skirts to lengthen some short ones. Diane posted a solution like this also

I think #1 is a really cute outfit for a busy day. It looks casual and comfy but also stylish.

I really like #2 a lot. I think the layered skirts are interesting and add to the dress. What a great idea to save a dress that is a touch shorter than your comfort level.

#1 is my kind of outfit. You look great but casual and laid back as well. I think #2 is cute as can be but i would like a shorter or lighter necklace.

You look lovely in both outfits. Like Suz, I am a sucker for striped tops and I love it with the clamdiggers and cons! That is a very creative way to fix the too short dress. Very nice!

I love the casual ease of #1!

I think your solution in 2 is a great one. It's tricky to find the right under layer (I tried this with a too-short dress last winter and couldn't quite make it work so I gave the dress away), but I think yours works. At first I thought the necklace was heavy for the look, but upon second glance, I like how it bookends your shoes. Well done.

The skirt under the tunic is a very smart idea, and looks great, Jenny! I'm reminded of Diana's layered skirts and Natalie's (Goldenpig's) daughter's layered tutus...

And I LOVE the simplicity and laidback feel of #1 --- sometimes, adding that third piece can come off s trying much too hard, especially with more casual outfits, don't you find? I love how the small scale of the necklace looks 'barely there', yet decisively completes the outfit.

JennyAnne, you look so pretty in that striped top. True, I am a total sucker for striped tops with boat necks and 3/4 sleeves, but not everyone wears them as well as you!

I'm not 100% sure about the tunic outfit. I really like the idea, but something isn't quite working here for me and I'm not sure what. It may simply be that the necklace feels as if it is competing with the details on the top. But at the same time, I absolutely get why you put it on; it might look a bit plain without it. Hmmm. I also wonder if a slightly longer or slightly straighter underskirt might be ideal here. Do you have other stuff to play around with? I think the idea has potential and would allow you to get lots more wear from the tunic! It looks really breezy and fresh, as well.

#1 is my go-to outfit for a busy day - striped shirt (Banana Republic), jeans (Target), Converse sneaks. I tried adding some scarves and bold jewelry, but nothing felt laid-back enough. I settled on just my Orkney Birds necklace.

#2 was a bit of an experiment I had mulling around my head for a while. The tunic is too short to wear as a dress, but I don't love it over jeans. I only ever wear it with leggings. I tried putting it on over a slightly longer skirt. What do you think?

Please ignore the grinning in #2. I actually recreated this look yesterday and forgot to put on the white cami I wore on Thursday.
