@Nadya: I’ve concluded that I’ll keep the tags on and wear the Madewell cardigan around the house a bit to see if or how it pills. I have some tolerance for polling but I don’t buy acrylic sweaters anymore since even for me they pill too much.

I agree that Madewell is a tiny bit scratchy, but did the same thinking you did about how I'll wear it. Can you share what you do to test it something like a scarf for sweater will pill? I've always just gambled.

Nikes never fit me, which is sad since I live in Niketown. It's not even the width, it's something about the last and where the arches hit. But I wear Converse, which they own. Converse have no arches :).

I ordered those joggers, too. Looking for good walking bottoms that don't drag on the ground, and I'm not into athletic leggings.

Sympathies on the heat. I've lived in the bay area, so I know exactly what you mean about a place just not set up for hot weather. Especially now when the normal escapes, like movies, malls and libraries, aren't an option. Take care!

@Angie: We are going through a ten day heat wave right now, so without AC I am pretty much only culling out the hard noes with final decisions awaiting the arrival of all my orders and the end of this misery that lasts through the night. Whine, whine and no place to cool off other than Safeway which was HEAVENLY.

I will for sure keep the two Zella tops and probably the Zella joggers as they are more needs than wants. I am also keeping the Neulash eyelash and eyebrow products. I ended up ordering more than I had planned (your Picks!) as well as less than I had planned (sell outs) so it’s been a weird year. I ordered your burgundy oxford Pick I think triggered by my fear that oxfords will disappear from the market.

I like that pomegranate color and look forward to seeing it on you. I'm a Madewell fan in general but I find that their sweaters get pilly very quickly.

Yes, colors on line are so tricky...even just looking at something on my phone vs my laptop can change my perception of of a color.
and sizing, for example Nike running TTS, for me the question always is true to Nike sizing, which i find runs a smidge smaller than other shoes, or TTS to most shoes in size X...

@Firecracker: I really wanted the Zella joggers below, but I doubt they will be restocked. So yes, I am inclined to keep them since the bottoms I wear for exercise walking are REI hiking pants from the ‘80s and ‘90s. They don’t wear out, but I fear that one day the thread will unexpectedly spontaneously disintegrate. I am not an athleisure person and tend not to like joggers, but these have pockets including a tiny
zippered one.

Colors are so tricky. Is not-quite-brick a Thing this year? The long cardigan is called Pomegranate, but it's not the color of any I've eaten. The color does nothing for me. The weight is great, and the size is what I expected. I tend to be between a PXS and PS, but since I am narrow of shoulder always get PXS in this type of cardigan since I don't have to worry about it pulling at the bust.

The scarf is the same warm red as the cardigan, so not as it appears on my laptop at least. On cooler day I will play with the sister gray scarf to see if it is too bulky for me to wear and if it pills.

The gray cardigan is NOT a Petite, but it fits similar to the way the red one in PXS does. Reviews said to size down, and some said to size down twice. I ordered XS and XXS, and the XXS which is supposedly a 00-0 fit me. And I probably could have sized down even more! Some reviews complained of pilling, so I will have to test that out. It is a tiny bit scratchy, but I will probably wear it over sleeved items so that shouldn't be a problem.

The utility jacket is a reminder that I shouldn't buy items with *dusty* in the color descriptor. The color is pretty much as pictured. It runs fairly true to size and is a bit short-waisted. The quality is about par for the course for Caslon, meaning nothing to write home about.

As mentioned previously, I am between an XS and S, but have also gained weight during the pandemic. Angie thought that I would be my smaller size in Zella, and I am. The S tops were too broad in the shoulders which is common for me in that size, and I am too hot to see if they are actually a better fit in the bustline which is where XS is often too small for me. In addition to the medium gray, I also ordered the charcoal gray top which is very nearly black. The jogger bottoms were not overly long on 5' 1" me, but I also fill them out in the legs. The really cool Zella jacket and bottoms sold out before I could order them.

The silver gray Nike Air Zoom Pegasus run on the wide size, but I should have ordered a half size up to accommodate my bulky Thorlo socks. The description said they run true to size but I generally need to go larger with Nike. I should have listened to my gut. I also ordered Nike Air Maxes but they are too narrow per typical Nike. So many of the sneakers I wanted sold out. . .
