I've already slid down that slippery slope. A number of years ago, I got a pair of very expensive shoes as a Christmas present, and discovered that it IS in fact possible to have beautiful shoes with high heels that are also comfortable. From then on, I was a convert. It's funny how quickly my idea of what's a lot of money for a shoe changed. It used to be that, in nice shoe shops, I'd pick up a shoe, do a little internal gasp and quickly put it back down. Now I pick them up and think, well, yes, that's about what you pay for a good shoe....</p> <p>In my defense, I don't spend tons of money on clothing items. But it sounds like you don't have a big shoe budget, so I'm agreeing with everyone else that these may not be the most versatile shoes for you. They do look like bridal shoes--what do you see yourself wearing these with? Maybe you could try to figure out what it is about these particular shoes that you love, then try to find that in a cheaper, more versatile shoe? The whiteness? The satiny-ness? The little bows? The sling-back style?
