Quick update - the first week has not gone exactly to plan. I've had a stain issue, a day where I unexpectedly had to meet with the bank and had to dress up, another meeting, and a rainstorm. Nonetheless, I've persisted after a fashion (ha!) and will post my photos and reflections on the first week once it's complete.

Interesting! I have been following Janice's Project 333 over at the Vivienne Files, and when she explained how she put together her wardrobe step by step, I geeked out a bit myself, and drew up a spreadsheet organizing all my clothes in "cores". I feel like I really have a grip on my wardrobe now, with a list of what my next purchases will be, which clothes will not be replaced when they have been purged. I'm feeling very pleased with that too.

The 15 for 30 concept sounds like a great way to plan for an extended trip.

Best of Luck! I look forward to seeing how you do. I blame my ADD, but I don't think I could do a challenge of that long of a time period, so truly admire those who do!

What fun! I love geeky note-taking! I'm sure this will go really well for you. I think I'm almost at 15 x 30 without even trying after the most recent cull, lol! Well, not quite, but it would be interesting to get in there and count..... thanks for the idea and good luck with your challenge Laura!

In my earlier post I fangirled all over the 15 items for 30 days challenge shown on the CAbi Canary blog. I have now made a version for myself (after geeky notetaking and going through most of my wardrobe). The original CAbi plan used 7 tops, 4 bottoms and 4 jackets; I've changed my plan to 3 jackets and 5 bottoms. The original plan doesn't count shoes in the 15 items, but uses only 3 pairs of shoes; I plan to start with 4 pairs of shoes and see how that goes.

As I said in the earlier post, I'm going for a cream/blush/gray/navy/chocolate color scheme as you can also see in the photos. I plan to start this on Monday with the first week of combinations (which, since the plan is 6 weeks long should get me right to the Christmas season). I reserve the right to make substitutions or punt when necessary, but I'm really going to try to stick with these limitations because I think it's a great challenge!

tops
5 cream shadow-stripe knit top
6 floral print button-front shirt
7 blush knit top with drape detail

jackets
1 gray jacket
2 navy cardigan
3 brown cord jacket
4 OMITTED

bottoms
2 brown denim skirt
3 brown cord pants
4 gray slim jeans

shoes (forgot to take a pic, whoops):
brown mid-calf boots
brown loafers
taupe flats
nude flats
