Nothing broken, thank goodness, but severe bruising and the scrapes began to get infected, despite my best efforts. The past week and a half has been filled with pain, whining, hobbling, a doctor's visit, antibiotics, ice packs, and such a recurring need to rest and recline that you'd think I was a stereotypical Victorian woman being shut up in her room as a treatment for "hysteria." Needless to say, I haven't been looking very fab.</p> <p>But ironically, I'm finding fab shoes at great prices. After work tonight I walked into Ambiance, one of my favorite SF shops, with a plan to buy some sensible gray pumps I saw in their window last week before my fall. The sensible gray pumps were gone, but they had just moved a lot of merchandise into their sale section in the back.
