I don't know what your laundering routine is, but I also find drying them shrinks them up a bit. I was young and very thin back then, and&nbsp;your jeans needed to be oh so tight.&nbsp;&nbsp; </p> <p>I am older now, and am much more prone to choose comfort over style. I can't remember if my 80s jeans ever stretched or not. </p> <p>My $0.02 would be to return both and keep looking. I ordered a couple of 100% cotton jeans off Yoox. My size up fits perfectly out of the box, but I know my cotton TRs softened and stretched with time. </p> <p>My regular size was a struggle to get on. I used a spray bottle of water to soften them up a bit, and now they button. Still not super comfy for sitting, but my inclination is to go with these so they stay a skinny jean as they soften up... don't need another BF pair.&nbsp;</p> <p>Am I on the right track here?</p> <p>ETA: photos. 1 is size 27, 2 is size 28.&nbsp;</p> <p>I'm pretty sure I'm keeping one of them. Super in love with the wash and the 100% cotton and the fit. The 27s relaxed significantly just sitting here. DH said they look the same.</p> </p>
