Got them in Pewter today at Macy's today on sale! The 7.5 actually fit really well -my baby toe is squished a smidgen but I think it will stretch. The 8's would have definitely been too long for me.

They ARE fabulous and thank you to all who gave advice. Can't wait to wear them now!

I'd definitely give 'em a try. I picked up a pair on clearance at TJMaxx and the half size up was perfect.

Everyone's reasoning makes sense, but I'd still order the 8's and try them out. It's worth it. I wore mine in 101 degree heat for 4 hours today and they were stellar.

I usually take a 7.5 med, sometimes an 8. After walking around in these in the store I settled on the 8's and have been happy with them. My foot is neither narrow nor wide, but with a once-broken pinkie toe that now has an angle at the joint, I need some extra width.
I also added Dr. Scholls stick-on pads that keep your foot from sliding forward in heels. They don't seem to affect the shoe size but make wearing a heel much more comfortable.

They do taper at the front which would be hard with a foot where the toes go straight across. I guess I have 'tapered toes' so the toe box works for me. However, they are about a 1/4 inch longer at the front than I would care for and I believe I'm in my true size. I think they run a little tiny bit small personally bc I can usually wear a 9.5 and I am having to wear a 10 in this but I think it is bc the high heel forces my toes forward, which again only works bc my toe shape matches the shoe shape. With your foot description, I'd probably pass bc the front of the shoe may be too long. Hope that makes sense and helps!

Thanks so much for the advice Shiny...I will definitely pass on these. My toes are practically all the same length and go straight across rather than tapering so it sounds like I would definitely have issues with these shoes.

So glad I asked before ordering!

Hmm, I'm thinking you might want to pass. I have these and my feet are wide - but not quite an official wide width. They are really best for narrow feet - especially in the toe area (toes and base of the toe). I think also my toes are stubby and chunky, so there's the vertical issue not just horizontal. If you have gracefully long, thin toes you *might* be okay - but those sorts of toes usually aren't attached to extremely wide feet. :-(

While you can adjust the back strap, doing so does not really help you in the toe area. The straps are sewn into place around the toe. Adjusting the straps helps in the back of your foot, and in the middle, but does nothing for the toe area. And if you size up, your foot is likely going to slide forward, which will squoosh your toes forward, making it worse.

I think I have finally broken them in so they are comfortable 4-hour shoes for me now - it helped that I got caught in a rainstorm, they got thoroughly soaked, and then dried on my feet. That gave the straps just enough give. But if my foot was any wider, they would never have stretched enough.

Otherwise, lengthwise I think these are TTS. For comparison, I am in a size 6, which is my usual size for 9 shoes out of 10. I need to size down to a 5.5 in certain brands such as Nine West heels - but for Me-Too's - and any sort of ballet flat -I need to size *up* to a 6.5.

Hope that helps!

Hello ladies...was wondering about the fit of these shoes. Found them on sale for $39.99 but they only had an 8 and I typically wear a 7.5. However, I have extremely wide feet with high arches so I sometimes size up to get a little extra width. Sometimes when I do this though the shoe is really a little too long for me. So I guess my question for you is do you think I can get by with an 8 or are they strictly TTS for length. Do you think they will be too long/loose? Or maybe because of the width of my foot I would have to size up anyway?

Any insight will be appreciated. Thanks!
