Besides underwear, this initial necklace was my only NAS25 keeper. I'm loving it for its "fun factor" -- a bit bolder than I've been wearing for the past few years. Thanks, Angie, for calling it to our attention!

My NAS consist of all tops and blouses. This is the best NAS I have had in a long time.

The red sweater is a much needed pop of color! It will pair well with skirts and high waisted pants.

This black and white CeCe top looks great with jeans, black pants and white pants. I am going to try in with my blue Jean skirt.

This Treasure and Bond blouse I am in love with. Great transition piece. I did not get a picture but I actually tried it over a black sleeveless dress. I liked the look.

Finally the leopard blouse. It will be a great fall piece and will go with a lot of things.

I am happy with my and I wish the fringed jacket had worked but it swallowed me whole.

A pair of pants I really wanted and a Farm and Rio blouse were cancelled twice but that’s ok. Onward to something else.

Angie thanks for your help.

I ordered the Ab Solution jeans in the same order as the red Taylor polo sweater, and the order went MIA. After a month of waiting (I know shipping during the sale can be slow plus I was away), I called and was told “Looks like it was lost in shipping.” The money was refunded back to me, and Nordstrom was prompt in doing that, but those two items were what I was looking forward to the most!
On the bright side, Items that I did receive from a separate order were the navy sweatpants, knit blazer (like Lisa I plan to wear these as a travel outfit) and a pretty knit sweater (I created a custom Find for that because I can’t do a regular Find on my phone/don’t know how). All of these fit nicely and they’ll no doubt get lots of wear in future outfits.

This Avec Les Filles coat arrived. I ordered it in my usual size (M) and it’s quite roomy but seems intentionally so. It’s a nice substantial weight and I love the lining. The color is nice on me — a light navy — and I like the constrasting collar. The length is cool too. I tried it on in the store when I picked it up, but things have been so chaotic at home with bathroom construction that I have not had a chance to try on at home, much less take a photo. I’ll try to do that this weekend, when we don’t have drywall installers tromping through the bedroom!

Hello.

In this post I debated whether to make the Navy Caslon Drawstring Terry Pants shorter to better show off the kick flare style.

I picked up the pants over the weekend and I'm delighted with the result. The shorter length really shows off the fun kick flare leg.

I paired the pants with a Caslon roll tab sleeve shirt, Amazon tank, and Asics sneakers, all in white. This the perfect WFH outfit, the material of the top and pants are super soft and the shirt looks good for video calls.

Thanks for looking!

I love the color and style of this Reiss top, but it has limited use so I resisted ordering it. Yesterday I had early dinner with friends for one of my friends birthday, and it took me to a location where the Nordstrom was right nearby. I cruised through pretty quickly even though it’s a well-stocked Nordies — probably the best one within an hour and a half drive from me.

The Reiss top was there, only in a size 6. I decided to try it just for grins. The color and drape are so lovely! However, this is not a cut for the large of chest. The tenting effect is not appealing, notably from the side view. I really hope someone smaller-chested gets this top and shares it with us, because it is pretty. Just not for all body types.

This is the first year that practically my entire wishlist has NOT sold out before I could shop. The only thing I was unable to order was the caped cardigan.

I ordered 5 items:

Halogen Raglan Sleeve Top in Burnt Henna (not sienna!)
Halogen Wrap Top
Madewell Pointelle T-Shirt
Madewell Cotton Crewneck Pointelle Sweater
Zella Strappy Camisole in Red Jelly

The package was delivered well into the evening, after a long, sweaty day, so pictures are in yellow electric light and very much unstyled.

1. The Halogen burnt henna top was too small. In the past I've sized way down in this brand, but this one was definitely fitted. I've reordered a size up to see how I like it in a better fit. Overall, it felt nice but didn't wow me. I have lots of good fitted long sleeve tees so I'm not sure this one is a keeper yet.

2. The Halogen wrap top was similarly too small, but also had way too little coverage. Even sizing up two sizes will not be enough to make me comfortable with this.

3. The Madewell pointelle t-shirt I'm not sure about. It's shorter than I expected; I like the shirttail hem with jeans, but not sure about this length. Again, this particular size was too small. The sleeves were also too short, which is unusual for me. But I love the material and I do like the neckline. I haven't reordered yet but I'm still considering.

4. I did like the Madewell pointelle sweater a lot, though the picture's not very flattering. Again, I want to size up. (I really missed my size guesses this year.) But it doesn't feel crazy small like the Halogen pieces. I've ordered a size up and need to do a try on with a skirt. It may be in the area where it's too long for a skirt (untucked) and too short for jeans.

5. Unexpectedly, the Zella camisole is a no-go. At first when opening the box, I thought there had been a mistake and they'd sent me two Burnt Henna tops. The colors are THAT close. Side by side, the "Red Jelly" color is very slightly more pink and a little lighter, but that's it. Not at all the warm dusty pink it looks online, it's more a brownish burgundy. I did give it a shot with my new Lands' End pink jacket (last Find) to see if they pair well, since I love light/dark tonal outfits. It's okay, but not amazing.

But the biggest problem is Picture 7 - after walking around the house a few minutes, it rolled and slide all the way up to my high waist. THIS is why I'm very leery of camisoles! Picture 8 shows me tugging it back down. But it hasn't a prayer of staying, even if I size up 3 sizes and wear a separate bra.

It's a cute top and I still wish it worked. And I'm glad I tried it. The Lands' End jacket (and hopefully the pants I ordered) are the exact right pink ("Dark Rose Clay"), so I'm also glad I got to choose.

This may be a small NAS for me, but I'm okay with that! I've really got a pretty good wardrobe already. I'm debating a couple of bras right now and the Madewell t-shirt, and still sort of stalking the caped cardigan, but I'm not terribly confident it will work for me anyway.

I am still looking to see if either of my first choice items reappear. Neither were available when it was my turn to shop which was disappointing. In place of the Mother jeans I hoped for, I ordered Mother The Kick It straight leg jeans at full price. They fit perfectly and I am keeping them. I returned the Rag & Bone Harlow jeans because they were too short.

I returned the VB Theron Plaid Tweed blazer. The point where the sleeves hit the shoulder was too low and the fit was not quite right. I also decided the plaid was too distracting on me. I did find a Lafayette 148 NY linen blend long line blazer, which I am keeping.

https://www.nordstrom.com/s/el.....onalizedso

It has coordinating trousers that were also on sale.

From NAS I am keeping this cotton flutter sleeve sweater from Treasure and Bond. It’s a wildcard choice, but I like it.

https://www.nordstrom.com/s/fl.....er/8126993

I am still deciding whether to keep the Vince skirt and sweater set. On the plus side, they are soft and cozy.

I should have time for try ons and pics over the weekend.

Thanks to Lisa I tried the Caslon Terry knit button front. I have always liked some knit button- front shirts because of “ structured softness”. I got navy sz M because I’ve worn M in some Caslon before and I wanted to be sure it was roomy enough for layering, possibly over LS T as well as SS.. This is not a dressy item for me, so slip- in comfort is important. I often need a long sleeve over my T shirt at home in a/c if sitting still, even though our set temp is warm! But it did not really shrink at all ( in dryer for only a few moments , then hang to dry), so I got the dusty pink in S, intentionally more classic fit, and it is fine. I ordered navy S to see if I want it as also more fitted stand-Aline shirt, but, navy is not a good face color per se and less so if collared/ LS, so, whereas worn open over paler or striped tees , works well, or buttoned as casually oversized, so hopefully I will talk myself OOT of semi- duplication. Wish it came in more “medium” colors.

Also got the Zella cozy pleated sweatpants- a kind of a peg- ankle style which I like. I did the black, go figure , because I know that fits in with so many casual pieces I have, and sneakers; going to try the gray but think it may be too washed out. This could be seasonally- confused for me, because cotton- poly fleece is transition-weather, but, it’s cropped, so bare ankles. But I can usually tolerate bare ankles in mildly cool weather if warm elsewhere. I could try it with fun socks, but might look too clownish for me. Will see.

I tried the featured pick AG BF jeans but sent back, as the fading was way too prominent.

May try a few more things, though many items were sold out even when I started.

I noticed these jeans, which would be a fun new item--outside my wheelhouse. I enjoy the easy shape and vague throwback quality to a time of thicker jeans.

I don't know that I will get them--I won't die if they go fast during this sale. I will at least have "looked" outside the box.

They have a raw hem, which is, I believe in the category of distressed jeans. I know that was a huge fad 5, 10, 15 years ago. As I have said before, once a trend is over its big wave, I will finally pick it up.

Do you like distressed jeans or other clothes? How much distressing will you handle in your clothes? And my BIG question is--with a raw hem or other distressing, is it going to continue unraveling once you take it home?

It doesn’t fit. :( It’s way too wide in the shoulders. If I were to size down, I think it would be too tight in the body.

For others, the quality is very nice. The suede is soft, and there is an interesting braid detail by the fringe.

This was just delivered after being sold out at the beginning of the sale. Black is notoriously difficult to photograph; sorry. The knit has a lot of body with a bit of sheen so this is a flat black and not a deep black. To my eye it is very forgiving without being sloppy. This is XXS/XS which is my usual size. It is still available in S/M and L/XL.

I also just ordered the gray long sleeve polo dress because, well, gray. It looks to be a trickier fit.

After seeing the Rag & Bone jeans in Firecracker/Sharan’s post, I decided to order them to try. Burgundy pants or jeans have been a HEWI for me. They’re not on sale, but with only one pair left in my size, I decided to try them.

I also took the bait to try the Avec Les Filles trench. I do not need more outerwear, but I really love the color and vibe of this — not a common color for an item like this, so again, I decided to at least try it. It looks like it may be a challenging cut for me, like it perhaps narrows at the bottom? But it’s always hard to tell in photos. I’m on my phone so couldn’t make a Find, but here it is:

https://www.nordstrom.com/s/82.....ize=medium

Having already done a bit of shopping this year and not finding a lot in the sale that really fits my needs/wants, I’m feeling quite picky. So we shall see how these items stack up!

The conclusions are as follows:

Suz and K. Period were bang on the money about which brown topper I chose! Lisa and Bijou were dead right about why the boots went back! WELL DONE :)

- RL Coat went back because it was potentially itchy.

- RL Cream Teddy went back because it does not look sharp. I prefer my toppers to look polished, structured and sharp. Cosy teddy fabric is not for me, and also not sufficiently warm. Super cute on someone else!

- Bernardo Moto went back because it was too brown, and needed a tricky alteration.

- RL Bomber was by far the best. I jumped for joy when I unpacked it! I've wanted an iconically classic aviator/flight jacket for a long time. And who better to fill that wardrobe hole than my favourite American designer - Ralph Lauren. I fitted it on, and knew it was THE ONE. Gorgeous quality, perfect fit, super warm, and with all important oatmeal trim that breaks up the brown. It has a strong '80s vibe, which pulls at my heart strings. My long neck likes the high neckline.

Tried it with the brown Aquatalia boots, and felt like a fish out of water. Not happy. Too brown. Too dark. Too hard-edged. Put on my old cream Aquatalia boots instead, and began dancing in front of the mirror. Good sign!!! Boots are retuned. I need "soft and pretty" in my outfits.

Showed hubs Greg the options after I'd made my decision. Without question, he liked the RL bomber best too! Interestingly, he did not like the brown boots.

The colour of the bomber is like pic #1 in person. The rest of the pics are darker because of the light the moment I took the pics.

I LOVE MY NEW AVIATOR! It will work with sooooo much of my wardrobe. Can't wait to wear it :)

*shown here with new NAS jeans and new NAS polo top.

This relaxed fit pima tee is good! Oversized but shaped, I picked up two in white and, if it washes well, would purchase in more colors if available.

Good for a full bust/hourglass shape. It nips in a bit at the waist.

Hello.

Yes, I'm still thinking about the Veronica Beard Carson Corduroy Flare Leg Pants from this post.

Angie and Suz recommended I bring the pants home and give them a try to see if they would work with my wardrobe.

Here are the results. I ran out of good lighting but you can see the colors in the finds.

#1 to #4 - Flares With CeCe Floral Clip Dot Ruffle Neck Top
Like all cropped pants, these pants are full length on me. Compared to another pair of corduroy's I own by Billabong (I put it in the finds) these corduroy's are not as thick and the cords are a lot thinner. These have a high waist and are really comfortable.

The CeCe top is from NAS and is a similar style to the Veronica Beard top in the sale (Peri mentioned it in this post) but at a much lower price point. The cream Franco Sarto booties I already own.

#5 to #6 - With Light Blue Shirt and Light Blue Sneakers
The Caslon French Terry Button-Up is from NAS. The Adidas sneakers I already own.

#7 and #8 - With Blue and White Plaid Shirt and White Sneakers
This is my favorite plaid shirt. The white Asics sneakers are my go to fashion sneaker when I'm not in the mood for colorful sneakers.

#9 and #10 - With Navy Shirt and Navy/Pink Sneakers
Another Caslon French Terry Button-Up from NAS. And another pair of Adidas sneakers I already own.

#11 and #12 - With Zella Blue Tempest Half Zip and Navy/Pink Sneakers
I wanted to see how casual these corduroy pants could be so I tried them with my Zella half zip pullover from NAS.

#13 to #15 - With A Yellow Graphic Tee and Navy/Pink Sneakers
For fun I wanted to see if the corduroy pants would pair well with a graphic tee and sneakers, which is my summer uniform. The tee and sneakers are what I already had on today.

The shorts outfit is the entire outfit I wore today (a graphic tee, sneakers, and shorts is not exciting but sometimes a gal just has a casual day) as a thank you for reading all my NAS posts.

There's one outstanding item from my NAS order, which should arrive soon. It's the tan suede Blondo Alida booties I put in the finds. Then it'll be time to decide what is a keeper and what's not! So fun!

Thanks for looking!

I'm on "team wear right away" but that's a tad difficult when many of my NAS items are for cooler days and temperatures are in the 90's F right now.

I've made a couple of trips back to Nordstrom in the last week, for returns.

Here's what I returned or exchanged:

T3 Afar hairdryer. Returned. I thought it would be good for travel. Although it does not come with a diffuser, there is one available to fit it. When the dryer arrived, I realized that even though it folds, making it a handy size to pack, it is no smaller or lighter than my current dryer, which I like and works well.

Simple Human Tabletop Mirror. Returned. The purchase was inspired by similar mirrors I've used at hotels. This one has only a magnifying side--no flip to a regular mirror, which is what I'd rather have. After seeing this one, I also think I'd rather have something that mounts on the wall and pulls out, and I don't think the light is that crucial, since the lighting in my bathroom is good. If you're considering this kind of mirror, I would also caution that I couldn't figure out how to turn off the auto-on feature, which made the mirror light come on when we'd walk into the bathroom in the middle of the night (and not to do our makeup!).

Natori Feathers and Bliss Perfection bras. Exchanged. I had a fitting, but after I wore the bras for three days, I decided they weren't working. They were too tight in the cup and quite uncomfortable. I went back to the SA who had fitted me. She agreed the cup size was wrong, and said it was her fault; she had not looked carefully enough at the fit. I was able to return them with no problem, even the ones I had worn, and I bought the same styles in a different size. I think we've got it right now.

Zella Racerback Seamless sports bra. Exchanged. I ordered the size I have in this style from a few years ago, and I thought I could size down. I went to the store to try it in person and exchanged for the smaller size, plus bought two more. I like that this new version has a cup lining with openings where you can insert pads if you want to.

Rag & Bone Featherweight Logan jeans in brown/plum (not NAS). Returned. The size down that I ordered arrived, and I don't like the style on me enough to keep them, especially at full price. But even if they were marked down, I just don't love them (except for the color and fabric--LOL!).

Comparing them to the Rag & Bone Harlow jeans I got on NAS--and am happily keeping!--it's very clear how much better I like the narrower style of the Harlow. I'm currently thinking I'll keep the Levi's 501s I got on NAS, too. Ive gone back and forth about them, but my full-length Levi's 501s in black are some of my most-worn jeans through the winter. I reach for them all the time, because they are comfortable and full-length.

What I wore for return shopping:

pics 1-2: It was cool enough to wear my new Zella 3-in-1 Trench coat from NAS (without the insulated vest liner)! Also light wash straight jeans (Levi's 555 men's, baby blue), olive short-sleeved t-shirt (AllSaints), olive cotton dimensional-stitched collared cardigan (Margaret O'Leary, Marley), olive loafer-clogs (Dansko), blanket-print bag in blush, cream, and olive (made by me), olive stone necklace (Designs by Sonia), silver and brass earrings (Marjorie Baer).

pic 3: my summer uniform! Black cutoff jorts (We the Free, Jam Session Capri Jeans); patterned sleeveless tee in cream, blush, black, and gray (made by me); ivory and black pinstripe linen blazer (Evereve, Taylor), cream and neutral snake print sneakers (Cole Haan, GrandPro Topspin), cream cross-body bag (Minor History), gold and silvertone hexagon hoops earrings with chain (AllSaints, Hexagon Swag Hoop), mixed metal bead necklace (AllSaints).

I'm definitely on Team Wear! NAS coat, earrings, and bras, plus the Margaret O'Leary cardigan, which I got last week, too, using my birthday discount from them.

Angie on "Best Brown Boots: Dilemma! (REVEALED)"

The brown Aquatalia boots are here. They absolutely INCREDIBLE. Impeccable quality, WEATHERPROOF, great fit, comfortable, FANTASTIC ankle tailoring, lightweight, and casually refined. Just what I wanted.

See pics - NOT styled. Threw them on with what I'm wearing now :)

DILEMMA:

They are darker than cognac (and the stock photo). Darker than ideal. I don't think I will wear them unless I have a topper and belt to match.

The belt is easy to get. The topper rundown is as follows.

There are 4 brown NAS toppers I'm considering:

1. RL Brown tweed coat is GORGEOUS. Ever so slightly itchy, so it might be bye-bye.

2. Bernardo Shearling Moto is GORGEOUS. Impeccable quality. Great texture. Darker in person, and a perfect brown match with the boots! A little big, and needs a slight alteration.

3. RL Shearling Bomber with cream trim (arrives Friday)

4. RL Cream Teddy with brown trim (arrives Friday)

SOOOOO, my plan is to wait for ALL the toppers, compare them, do an outfit creation session with them AND the boots, and assess how I feel in these darker brown items. And ask hubs Greg what he thinks.

I find this type of purchasing and style puzzling exhilarating!!! I'm bouncing off the walls!!! Wonder where I'll land ;)

Stay tuned!

UPDATE: I'm keeping ONE brown topper as a wildcard experiment, and the brown boots are going back. More in a separate thread on WHY I came to that decision!

Can you guess which topper I'm keeping?

The Naturalizer sling back shoes arrived today and of course I couldn’t wait to try them on. I ordered them in two sizes and was somewhat undecided about which fit best so I decided to snap some photos and compare them that way. I often do that when trying on clothes, and often when I look at the photos it becomes either a clear “yea” or “nay,” so I decided to try this technique with these shoes.

In this case, I think the pics show the 9’s are a bit too wide, maybe too big overall. I think the 8.5’s look pretty close to perfect. What do you think?

FYI- 9 is my usual size in regular width shoes, 8.5 is my usual size in narrow width shoes (these shoes are narrow width). This is the tan color and I’ve already ordered a second pair in gold.

While referencing an order from last year's NAS, I saw the BP cropped hoodies that I got that year. I got two in the NAS, and went back for the cream one later in the fall. They've been a good alternative to my more traditional knitted cardigans, very cozy and just right with a skirt or dress.

I browsed this NAS to see if BP had released any more. There weren't any - but they did have a line of cable knit sweaters. I couldn't resist and ordered both the lavender and pale pink. I hope they will be just short enough to lie well over skirts. I used to wear a lot of burgundy too, so I'm eyeing that one; but I'm no longer sure it's the best color for me. I'm hardly wearing it any more.

Hello.

The rest of my jeans order came in today. Some are Angie's top picks. I indicated when they are or are not petite size. Regular size cropped denim is usually full length on me (for reference I'm 5'3").

#1 to #3 - Wit and Wisdom Brittany High Rise Absolution Itty Bitty Boot in Indigo
These are the petite size in the indigo wash.

#4 to #6 - Wit and Wisdom Brittany High Rise Absolution Itty Bitty Boot in Blue
These are the same size and style as above (petite size), but in the blue wash. For some reason they are shorter in the length than the indigo one's above.

#7 to #9 - Wit and Wisdom Sam High Waist Wide Leg Jeans in Indigo Artisanal
These are petite size and more of a wide leg style. The length on these is really nice.

#10 to #12 - Wit and Wisdom Bennett Skyrise Barely Bootcut Jeans in Mid Blue Artisanal
These are regular size (not petite). They are cropped on the model with a 28" inseam which makes them almost full length on me. They look a little to short though.

#13 to #15 - Mother The Hustler Fray Ankle Slim Bootcut Jeans
I originally tried on these jeans in this post. I tried them on again because I was originally debating if I'd like the Mother or Wit and Wisdom lighter wash better. The mother are cropped on the model with a 271/2" inseam (according to the website) yet they look longer to me than the Wit and Wisdom do. They are regular size (not petite).

#16 to #18 - Paige Cindy High Waist Ankle Straight Leg Jeans in Ravello Wash
I'm a big fan of Paige and usually pick up a pair of jeans every NAS. However, this wash looks exactly like the one's from last NAS, even though the name is different. I put last year's Cindy's in the finds so you can see how close they are. When I showed DH the two jeans side by side he asked "why did you buy the same jeans?" These jeans are regular size (not petite).

#19 to #21 - Paige Cindy High Waist Ankle Straight Leg Jeans in Arpeggio Wash
I've previously shown these jeans from my in person shopping post here. But since I'm showing the rest of the jeans from NAS I figured why not put these here to complete the list. These are NOT NAS but I am still leaning towards keeping them. They are softer than the Paige Cindy's above from NAS and a darker wash which I do not own in the Cindy style. These jeans are regular size (not petite).

There are some great jeans in NAS this year, I have some thinking to do!

Thanks for looking!

I am waiting on a couple of long sleeve tees; otherwise I’m finished with my NAS shopping. I am pleased with the items I’m keeping because they are practical for my casual life.

Shown in finds:

Pistola sweater
White Johnny collar tee
Ivory boucle jacket
Wit and Wisdom bootcut jeans
Tan open weave sweater

Other keepers not in finds:

Zella full zip hoodie in white
All Saints brown suede barrel bag
Sneakers for pickleball (not NAS)

I tried the wide leg umber pants but they were way too big in the 6p, which worked in the jeans. I recently got 2 pairs of casual pants from Madewell, with another on the way, so I should be good there. I also tried black studded loafers from Ash but I was in between the 2 full sizes.

I struggle with casual shoes! I wear sandals the vast majority of the summer and I love boots for fall/winter. A loafer seems like a good option but I haven’t found ones that I love. I’m not sure sneakers are my style

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hello.

My final athleisure order arrived today!

#1 to #3 - A Column of Blue Tempest
I already showed the joggers and sneakers in this post. The half zip arrived today. I adore the pairing of the joggers and half zip together with the Nike sneakers. I also liked the off duty rapper version from the previous post. Thanks for the moniker Angie! :)

#4 to #7 - Beyond Yoga in Navy
I didn't notice this set until kkards posted their NAS window shopping list here. Then I saw this again in Angie's top picks list here and I had to try it.

I'm so glad I did. The material is extremely soft and luxurious for nylon! The pants are way too long. I am trying to decide if I should hem them for the Nike sneakers from the first outfit or the white Asics sneakers I put in the finds.

Thanks for looking!

Hello.

Here are the Halogen Ponte Knit Kick Flare Leg Pants from this post . I am wondering about the length.

I cannot show photos of how they would look with the seam let out to make the hem longer, but there's plenty of fabric to do it. I'm leaning towards making them longer so that they will be more classic.

But there's another option, shorten them. I can show photos of how they would look shortened. I know the kick flare leg are on trend, but that's my concern. These are going to be for my business capsule. I am usually conservative with work clothes since they are not worn often and I don't replenish it often. Is a cropped kick flare pant a classic look?

None of these outfits are styled, I'm merely showing light colored footwear so it provides contrast for the photos with both a heeled and flat footwear option.

#1 to #4 - Current Length
The current length. It's very close to full length. I'm guessing if the hem was let out half an inch (or maybe an inch?) these would become full length?

#5 to #8 - One Fold Shorter
One fold up brings the hem shorter, but still provides good leg coverage with the booties.

#9 to #12 - Two Folds Shorter
Two folds up brings out the kick flare hem more and makes these pants look more on trend and closer to the stock photo. It also makes me look short. I will not be wearing these pants with matching dark footwear. My booties options are ivory and wine (see finds). This short length also places the pants at almost at the top of the booties which feels drafty without a knee high sock for warmth on the leg.

What are your thoughts?

Let out the hem

Keep current length

Shorten one fold

Shorten two folds

Look for something less trendy

Thanks for your feedback!

Hello.

The rest of my Caslon order came in today.

#1 - Navy Caslon Drawstring Terry Pants and White Johnny Collar Knit Long Sleeve Top
These pants are a similar material to a pair of wide legs I already own (you can see them in my new travel outfit here.) I paired the pants with the white Johnny Collar Knit with a half tuck.

#2 and #3 - With Navy/White Stripe Johnny Collar Knit Long Sleeve Top
I'm wearing the striped version of this top untucked so you can see the length. I'm on the fence with these Johnny Collar Knit Long Sleeve tops. I really like both Johnny collars and knits, but the material of these is slightly stiff/scratchy. It's 100% cotton. I'll probably send these back.

#4 - With Cotton and Modal V-Neck Striped Tee
I already own this tee, but I noticed it's available during NAS so I wanted to show how well it pairs with the pants in case anyone was thinking about either item. This tee is very soft and comfortable to wear.

#5 and #6 - Should I Shorten the Pants?
I'm trying to show the pants shorter in length. I keep running into this issue with cropped pants being not long enough but also not cropped enough on me. Alas short people problems.

Should I shorten the pants or leave the length as is? I will only wear these pants with fashion sneakers and flat sandals.

#7 and #8 - Popcorn Yellow Fila x Hailey Windbreaker
I ran out of daylight and had to go indoors. This windbreaker isn't NAS but the yellow color caught my eye because it's bright and fun. The windbreaker is very soft on the inside with a nice lining. But it's also very oversized. DH was not a fan of this one.

#9 - Navy Caslon French Terry Button-Up Shirt
The pants pair very well with the button up shirts from NAS.

#10 - Sky Blue Caslon French Terry Button-Up Shirt
These French terry button-up shirts are one of my favorite Caslon items from NAS this year.

#11 - Navy Caslon Double Breasted Blazer
The top half of this outfit is from my new travel outfit. These pants could sub in for the wide leg pants of the travel outfit if needed.

#12 - Navy Caslon Relaxed Knit Blazer
This blazer is from last year's NAS. It also pairs well with the pants.

Thanks for looking!

If you like Caslon I've tried two dresses. One I'm still deciding, the other was a fail.

Hello.

I'm a big Zella fan but it's proving very popular this NAS! I've finally gotten a few pieces in, others are still on order or I'm stalking.

1# and #2 - Leggings, Full Zip Hoodie, Sneakers

The leggings are a keeper. I own a few Studio Luxe leggings and these are the nicest I've ever tried. They are soft, don't show lumps and bumps, and are squat proof for workouts.

Hoodie is oversized in style. This is the smallest size. It is not fleece lined, but still has a nice thickness to it. I'd consider it a moderate weight hoodie. I don't mind on oversized look but I'm debating if this is just too big.

The Nike sneakers are a fail. Gorgeous colors and great cushioning but too narrow for my feet.

Zella Studio Luxe High Waist Pocket 7/8 Leggings in Navy Sapphire

Zella Relaxed Fit High-Low Zip Hoodie in Blue Tempest

Nike Air Max 1 '87 Sneaker in Sail/Slate/Blue/Black

#3 and #4 - A Closer Look At The Leggings
Here's a closer look at the leggings. There no gaping in the waist.

The white shirt is not NAS and is a fail. Despite being very soft it's also very sheer!

The white bra is also a fail. Again it's soft, but it has peach cups, which you see through the white bra.

Zella Studio Luxe High Waist Pocket 7/8 Leggings in Navy Sapphire

Zella Breathe Active Tee Shirt in White

Zella Seamless Strappy Sports Bra in White

#5 to #8 - Teal Aquifer Color
The teal aquifer color is not part of NAS but these items are on sale so I gave them a try. The color pairs beautifully with navy blue.

The half-zip is fleece lined, perfect for colder weather.

The active tee shirt is not sheer (unlike the white above). The matching bra is very comfortable.

The Nike sneakers are from NAS. These have a wider toe box than the previous pair and good cushioning. There's a small blue stripe on the side and the silver is "just enough" to give these some style without being overdone. They are a keeper.

Zella Studio Luxe High Waist Pocket 7/8 Leggings in Navy Sapphire

Zella Breathe Active Tee Shirt in Teal Aquifer

Zella Half Zip Fleece Ottoman Pullover in Teal Aquifer

Zella Studio Luxe V-Neck Racerback Sports Bra in Teal Aquifer

Nike P-6000 Sneaker in White/Silver/Blue/Sail

#9 to #12 - The Ultrasoft Line
Zella's Ultrasoft line for this NAS is the best I've ever tried. It's a dupe for Spanx Air Essentials, it might even be better than Spanx. The pants are very comfortable and the blue tempest color is really pretty. The cargo style pockets on the front are a nice touch.

I don't think these pants pair well with the full zip hoodie. I planned to wear these pants with the funnel neck sweatshirt which is on order (I'll put in the finds) but it's probably going to be too big (as Angie said Zella toppers are running large).

Zella Ultrasoft High Waist Knit Joggers in Blue Tempest

Zella Relaxed Fit High-Low Zip Hoodie in Blue Tempest

Nike P-6000 Sneaker in White/Silver/Blue/Sail

#13 and #14 - Pairing White With Blue Tempest
I already have this Zella Half Zip in White. I'm preparing for the funnel neck sweatshirt on order to be too big. If I can't get a smaller size, I'm thinking of pairing these blue tempest pants with the white half-zip.

Zella Ultrasoft High Waist Knit Joggers in Blue Tempest

Zella Half Zip Fleece Ottoman Pullover in Teal Aquifer

Nike P-6000 Sneaker in White/Silver/Blue/Sail

#15 and #16 - Navy and Teal Again
The navy long sleeve tee is from NAS. The teal aquifer leggings I already own. I planned to pair the navy top with the navy leggings at the beginning of this post, but it photographs so dark indoors I reached for the teal aquifer leggings I already own instead. The top has a nice curved hem detail that covers the bum. I'm wondering if the navy top pairs well with the teal bottoms? DH thought the navy top was too dark for the teal leggings.

Zella Relaxed Washed 2.0 Long Sleeve Slub Tee in Navy Sapphire

Nipped in to Nordies for a new bra and managed to find a few other things that I wanted to try. I’ll spare you the photos of the bra. It did come home with me though. One of these days I’m going to get a bra fitting. The dressing room was crazy because it was NAS but one of the fitters was able to assess my size at a glance after seeing me in the wrong band and cup size. What a super power!

1-The fringed jacket is cute—sleeves a little long but decided it wasn’t quite my style.
2-The floral skirt which i loved but too long and too much fabric to be flattering.
3-The Lole raincoat which I love but question the sleeve length. I don’t have a raincoat and if I had one, I would want it to be like this and brown! Please LMK what you think.
4,5,6-The Lole puffer which I’m probably going to order as my everyday fall/winter work jacket to replace my green Uniqlo which I managed to somehow lose.
Thanks for any advice!

I am deeply relieved to tell you that it went below 70° today in Chicagoland. It will be 90 again tomorrow, but today I could try on the jacket with jeans and actual shoes and socks. I also wanted to share with you the fantastic packaging that the jacket came in. An inner plastic bag to hold the jacket full length, several layers of protective paper, including cardboard button shields and then a full length garment bag. I was very impressed. I will definitely change the buttons on this jacket, and I'm hoping to find some dull silver or pewter Western -looking buttons.

Yesterday I wore lime green cotton gauze and white linen pants, so as to have as little clothing touching my body as possible. The top is Oh My Gauze. Very dusty mirror!

After thinking about it, I got some Stance socks, a brand that is new to me.
Is anyone familiar with the brand?
Will the no show socks get “eaten” by the shoes? Are she short crew socks comfortable or does the elastic bind the leg in the upper portion of the sock?
I know that they have seamless toes, which is a big pro for comfort.
TIA and I hope you all find good items at the NAS.
