Zulily: any reason to try it?

There are some cute things popping up and I'm curious but it also seems like it might be one of those "too good to be true" sites as far as the prices and quality, where they are making it look like they are slashing inflated prices on items that really are only $40 quality.

Anyone have a review or report?

A friend of mine works there. She's gotten several pieces through them that all look decent and seem to hold up OK but I don't know firsthand. Usually small runs of products. I think the quality is sometimes worth what it looks like for the price and sometimes it's better.

I purchased quite a bit from them in the past. A smart shopper can do well, especially if you are familiar with fit of brands and styles. The downside is that the "event" has to run its course before they ship your order, which can be a very long time sometimes. Once I discovered YLF and Nordstrom I no longer use them.

I have bought some fun jewelry from them, and some shoes, too. BUT know your sizes, as there are absolutely no returns. So I watch for shoe brands that I know fit me. The delivery time lag thing can be a problem, too. Oh yes, readng glasses can be a deal on the site.
