Zara puffer

Here it is:

Yay or nay? I'm hoping it's a yay so I didn't wear it in 70 degrees for nothing. I was going to faint while taking pictures :p

I guess it's not quite knee length but that's okay, most of my legs will be covered by boots. I think this length is probably more flattering.

Wow, Maya, it looks fantastic! Great find. (I wish we had a Zara, grr). Is it real down or feather?
My only concern would be the lack of hood, but it's a purely functional aspect, and with the way it looks, a negligible one :)

Love it. I actually prefer it with the raised collar instead of the hood. It'll give you a chance to wear cool hats.

YAY! It looks fabulous, Maya! What a stunning puffer! Great length, cut and colour. It contrasts beautifully with your dark hair. Well done :0)

Oh, it's GREAT! I am so amazed that you found your perfect puffer so quickly. Yay!!

Looks great! I want to see some pics of you with this and your hats too. But maybe not until it's really cold. :-)

That's adorable on you. And now without a hood, you can justify getting a cute knitted hat for winter, if you don't already have one. :)

HI MAYA! *hug*

That is so cute! I love the color and the belt buckle especially.

H&M has really really cute wool cloches right now for $7.95...

Great find, Maya.

BRIANNA! yay! *many hugs* What a lovely surprise to see a response from you :) And yes, a cloche is on my endless to-do list. I used to like floppy beret type hats with my long hair, but they don't look quite right with shorter hair. A cloche is a no-brainer for a bob. I saw a super one in a grey menswear fabric with a giant girly bow on it. It's on my wish list.

Laura, are you going to try it today? I guess you can't answer that since you are probably shopping with Kristen at this very moment...

...but if you did try it, report back!

Also, I wasn't sure about that raised collar, but it felt so warm and cozy that I just denied it looked funny...but maybe it doesn't look as funny as I thought?

That's a great puffer Maya! And I don't think the collar looks funny, at all. Have fun with your hats :)

Wow! That puffer is gorgeous on you Maya! Congrats on the amazing find.

Beautiful. It suits you well.

Nay for me - I guess I'm the only one who does'nt like it on you, white and puffy ,hmm I don't like it - you can do better!

Rena, I actually suspect you're not actually the only one who doesn't like it, you are just the only one brave enough to say so! I realize puffers are not the height of style and if I felt I had a choice between this and a great wool coat, I would choose the wool coat.

One way or another, though, I need a puffer, and they're called puffers for a reason aren't they? I know they're not everyone's taste, but I have avoided puffers for years, and every year I end up freezing. With last week's ominous preview of winter '09, I decided not to put it off anymore. Don't you live in Canada BTW? How do you survive without one?!

Everyone else: Thanks for the validation :)

I *really* think Maya’s cream puffer is an outstandingly adorable piece. I love cute puffers :0)

I really like it too. You're supposed to look "puffy" in a puffer, but you do it with style! :) I tried on my garbage bag black puffer the other day and it just didn't look the same to my eye anymore. Oh well.

Maya - I do own one,in Canada I need one forsure.Olive green, knee lenght, zipper closing,I can detach the hood if needed, not puffy at all and very warm.Brand is North Face,I bought it few years ago and really like it.

Garbage back black! Oh no. I hope I haven't scarred you with that description Marianna :) Are you planning to replace it?

I am gradually warming up to the idea of wearing a puffer (pun appreciated but not intended). I don't care if I look like a marshmallow. Whenever I see this one or try it on I feel like I'm being embraced by fluffy clouds! And besides, what is wrong with marshmallows? I like marshmallows.

I like marshmallows too and I’ll say it again – you look sensational in this puffer, Maya. It could not have been a more flattering fit. You did really well.

I got my new knee-length black puffer a few days ago (have been trying to replace my cream puffer for two years). It’s the most perfect puffer I could have hoped to purchase and I am absolutely THRILLED. I LOOOOVE stylish puffers! Marianna, sounds like you need a new puffer too. Let the search begin :0)

Well Angie, I hope you'll be back in town this winter so I can model it for you in person :) I have discovered three new places to have tea!

Is the new puffer Soia & Kyo by chance? I was looking at their website and found some really stunning ones.
