Zappos? (new question)

How long does it take for a Zappos return to be processed these days? I mailed it a week ago and the order status hasn't changed. Do you guys think it's consistent? I think it used to be faster "in the old days".
Thanks!

I have to say I am not as impressed with Zappos as I used to be. I much prefer Endless now. However, their customer service is still good, so if you're unsure, I would just give them a call.

Endless is nice, but I have to pay the sales tax when purchasing from them :(
OK, I'll give them a couple of days, UPS ground and all.

It takes about a week Marianne. I'd call if I was you.

About a year ago I wrote about my experience with Zappos and Piperlime on the forum (I just happen to purchase shoes that needed returning. I looked over the review and didn't see that I wrote how long it took, but I noted that Piperlime took longer.

Thank you! I called them, and apparently they have received the shoes but the refund is supposed to be issued in 2 weeks *frown*. They told me if I get a VIP status I would get faster processing. Does anyone here has it?

It took about two weeks from the time I mailed my shoes back to when the funds were back in my account. I still prefer Zappos to Endless, but frequently Endless has the shoes at a lower price. Zappos ships everything over night (my sister just ordered some shoes and got them THE SAME DAY!) and that wins for me. Endless does for some of their shoes, but not all of them.
FWIW, it takes the same amount of time for a refund from Endless.

Hmmm. That's odd. I must have VIP status too because I usually get refunded within a couple of days, Marianne.

Sarah, I too am still a HUGE Zappos fan. I am loyal to the bone. I’ll spend my fashion dollars at Zappos first because their service is unprecedented (usually!) But if I can’t find the shoe at Zappos, I’ll purchase elsewhere.

Angie, you would know if you had VIP - according to them you use a different url. Hmm, maybe it's their new recession policy. I haven't experienced these kinds of delays in the past.

Actually, my preferred shoe shopping place has been nordstrom.com, but of course they don't have the variety zappos and endless offer. But returns and refunds are great, and prices are often lower.

I see very little difference between Endless and Zappos, except:

-Endless has a LOT more brands, including brands that Zappos used to carry but has now discontinued
-Endless often has more styles within each brand
-Endless still has a 100% price match, which Zappos discontinued
-Zappos' new site drives me crazy
-Zappos' idea of a "sale" price is laughable. 10% off a pair of $160 shoes does not leave much of a dent. Endless always has regular sale and clearance prices, in addition to other sales and promos.
-Their customer service is at least as good and helpful as Zappos'

Hence, I prefer Endless. I have been using Zappos since I was a tot of 15 years old. I'm not kidding. I still remember the first pair of shoes I bought from them: a pair of Sketchers ankle boots that I bought with my mom's credit card (with her permission of course). Those were the days!

I have never had an item from Endless that didn't ship with free overnight shipping. That seems very exceptional to me.
