your favorite nude shoes

Kendall Farr talks about having a pair of nude shoes for lengthening the leg and for going with almost everything in our wardrobe.

My Clark brulees are my closest shoes to nude. Does anyone have a pair of nude wedges, pumps or peep toe or sling backs in nude they might recommend?

I remember Angie recommending some Gentle Soul nudish wedges last season but by the time I tried them they were out of my size.

I'm glad you started this thread. I have been thinking about this as well, and been meaning to take a photo with various "nude" shoes to get YLF opinion of which is the best nude for me. Because that's the thing with nude shoes: there is quite a range because everyone's skin shade is different.

I think my Cole Haan flats, which are a pearly pink, are probably the closest to my skin tone, as I do have a lot of pink/red undertones. Otherwise I have a pair of round-toe heels I think of as nude; they are kinda of... blonde? I don't know what you'd call them. I have a pair of platforms that are kind of a butterscotch too.

I think that taking into account the color of your hair is also important - that bookend effect.

Oh, I wish. I've been looking for a nice nude pump for years. There is nothing sexier, I think, than a gorgeous skin-tone shoe to wear with a dress or skirt. And obviously very useful, too- they go with almost any colour.

My dream nude shoe would be the classic Louboutin pump:

Of course, I'm unlikely to be able to afford those for a while, and even less likely to be able to walk in them (ever), so I have been thinking of settling for these in the meantime:

I hope you find some, happylife!

I've been wanting a nude pump for awhile now. These are the first ones I'm going to try. I've had a lot of luck with Nine West over the past few years.

I had some nude toned heeled sandals a while back and loved how they lengthened the leg. It's a huge trend in high heels currently but seems less so in comfy footwear so hope you find something.

I own a pair of nude pumps, and I love them! They're the most comfortable pumps that I have ever owned. And they come in narrow widths. If I were working a corporate 9-5 type job, I would buy more styles in various colors. They aren't cheap, but I wear them constantly (so, cost per wear is reduced to dollars per day). The "light copper patent" color blends nicely with my brown skin. So, on my foot, it is a nude. I don't need any leg lengthening. I bought them as a go-with-everything from black to brights shoe. I give you my nude shoes *drum roll*:

And here they are on my feet IRL.

And in an outfit:

These are my go-to spring/summer dress shoes. I hope you find a pair that works for you. Good luck!

I really want some comfortable nude pumps. I don't have any particular ones in mind, but I love the way they look. I want some that are elegant and comfortable, with not too high of a heel.

Oh I'm thrilled that someone started this thread!!

I've been eyeing these nude heels for months but I can't justify buying them. The 2.75" heel is kind of high for me, but might be worth a try. If anyone tries them, let me know how they turn out!

I love them because they can tone down an outfit, or make the outfit a focal point without distracting. And when I try to do less black...I will opt for a nude shoe.)

And sometimes I just don't have a shoe that matches what I have on, that is when I really love the nude shoe:)

OMG I love those shoes lwc!

Wouldn't you know they are sold out in my size 10!

WOW thanks for posting those. they look so versatile.

Louboutins, sigh. If only I could walk in those heels.

Lesley, I love those Cole Haans! They look awesome on you, and you can't beat that Nike Air technology :)

The closest pair I have to nude heels is a pair of bronze-metallic slides:

My skin is ruddier than the shoes but they are very similar in value.

I don't have pumps, but I have these slingbacks. I love them. Great color, comfy heel height, and do good things for my large calves:

I think that a metallic shoe that's close to the colour of your skin works just as well. Wait for Monday’s post.

Tarzy ... my favorites are Naturalizer also ... very similar to yours. They're my absolute favorite shoes these days ... I bought them last summer. They go great with everything from my brightly colored dresses to jeans and summer tops, plus they're super comfortable. I had a hard time finding a link to post in my particular color ... I guess they're on their way out.

I just purchased a tan pair of Jessica Simpson wedges, which is nude for me. I had been wanting a nude pair of shoes for a long time, but wanted to find a pair that were nude for my skintone. They are really cute and I can dress them up or down. I love how I can match them with those hard to match colors and outfits. I will try to post pics also. :)

I'm really late to this thread, but in case others are still looking, I wanted to add that I've been wearing Clarks Apple Star pumps in off white. They also come in gold suede if anyone prefers a metallic.

The shape at the arch is VERY comfortable and the heel is nice, chunky and low. I usually avoid peep toes and narrow toe boxes because my toes have a funky shape, but these are actually pretty comfortable.

For some reason they have been marked down to $56 (something like that - I can't remember) in the store but are more expensive online. 6PM is the best price I can currently find online at $60.

I'm very much on board for anything that could be leg-legthening and never thought of the neud shoe approach until discovering YLF. My problem will be approximating my skin tone, as I have no idea what that looks like and no one else can seem to agree either. I've had people tell me I'm extremely pale and others say I look olive-skinned. That obviously doesn't do much to narrow down the range of shoe colours. :) But thanks for starting this thread. As I'm still sandal shopping, it's something else to consider.
