Here's my contribution:

You know you're a pretty pear if you're trying on fitted skirts by pulling them over your head. Comment of a friend: "The skirt has a zipper, why on earth would you need to pull it over your head?!"

...you let your arms hang down straight from your shoulders and- well, your arms can't hang straight from your shoulders- your hips or upper thighs bump them outward.
(Too true about the skirt. Only pants get pulled up from the feet. I've got big shoulders, too, though, so I'm like Sveta and get clothes stuck coming sand going!)

So, I almost always step into my dresses and pull them up. And they must have zippers or be stretchy to get them on either way.

You mean, everyone doesn't have a worn patch on their hip where their purse rubs?

I should swear off trying on fitted dresses, but I still do - even with stretch they're always either too tight in the bottom half or too loose in the top.

Oh, yes - sheath dresses are bad! On that note - you know you're a pretty pear when out of the 50 cocktail dresses in the departement only three have the possibility to work out. Because it really makes sense to add very straight cut sheath dress lining to a fit and flare dress, right?

Ha, I just bought a new knit sheath dress and I noticed that it does that sort of sagging in the waist area. For me I have a larger bust, so I'm almost an hourglass, so at least that kind of balances it out for me and (hopefully) makes the dress work.

Here is mine...

When you cannot buy a two piece suit, unless they are able to sell you two different sizes: One for the jacket and a larger one for the pants or skirt.

I never bought a suit, but I'd say it's the norm now to buy pieces seperately, at least that's the case where I normally shop. I think it's really good to have that option!

Yes, no idea what's up with the lining thing. Saving expenses on the fabric?

I hate the straight dress linings with a passion and all of my coats are A-line!

I also thought of another one:

...when you can carry your laundry basket on your hip and it does not slide down
..or if you carry it in your arms you can push the door open with your hip
...when trying on pants in the store gives you inferiority complex because you cannot fit into the biggest size and if you do manage to fit into it your legs looks like stuffed sausages!
