What a challenging thing to come up with a challenge to such a fab and brave forum member like our froggiebecky!

She is one of our fab lasses who doesn't scare going through 2 hemispheres of winter last year, than heading back to an australian fall this year and living mostly out of a suitcase for her career as a PhD candidate in environmental science. Currently she is out in the field collecting data (Cape Tribulation, QLD, Australia) and unfortunatelly by the exact moment evacuating in advance of a hurricane/tropical storm. I smiled to my ears when she chimmed in to say "once I'm evacuated, I won't have much to do except play in my (limited) wardrobe!" OMG, such a girl of my own heart!:-)

Froggiebecky! I think I am much older than you but completely in awe about your brave lifestyle. You travel, see and do a lot and that counts as yrs of experience!

I saw, despite of your current everyday lifestyle needs of dressing rainforest gear you still managed to have fun with fashion feeling confident and feminine in your gorgeous cocktail dress that you have put on for your birthday http://http//youlookfab.com/we.....-cocktails.

I esp. loved your spring purchases in Edingburgh http://http//youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wibought-for-spring and the Paris Fashion report http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ion-report

BTW, I was more than trilled to discover You are my pal of green eyed blonde hair and gorgeous hourglass so I can really relate to dressing your body type and coloring(and can remember loving one of your striped midi outfit, too:-)).

Now, assuming your evacuation all went good, you are safe and well, I hope you'll have some fun with this and then will be able to remember "Ita" (pictie nr. 2) not (only) for the disasters it occured there but for you beeing involved in the YLF challenge chain right now/then.

I am really unfamiliar with all the things that can happen during an evacuation, but I would like to think you had at least some time to prepare for it. Having sturdy shoes, enough warm and dry clothes and a survival kit is crucial, I think.

My challenge to you is starting with a few questions:

-Did you think of (any bit) of fashion when choosing your clothing items/accesories in your evacuation kit? If not, than feel free to pass on! If yes, can you tell us which were they, and how you selected them? Why this and not the other? You can post picties as well, if able to do.

-Is this vis major experience holding your sense of fashion back or rather challenging your own self for caring about and dressing for the special conditions?

-Tell us/show us which is currently your most versatile item of clothing/accessory and how you tweak it for your changing needs right now!

Please do know English is not my first language, so hope it all makes sense (if haven't done(too) many gaffes) and hope you'll be able to join us froggiebecky asap and more often from now on.

Cheers, lyn67.

Please note: There were/still are quite some big time shifts going back and forth between April in the US, me in the Central EU, and froggiebecky during her evacuation(!) in Australia. This is also a strong evidence of the worldwide YLF sisterhood and can be counted like a chunky bit of the challenge itself... So may I ask, and thank y'all, for the kind patience
