Yay/Nay on this white watch

What do you think about this for a casual watch? The face is warm gold tone and the strap is white silicone. It's very, very comfortable, and I like the silicone because it's practical for my sweaty summers. I'm just not used to the stark whiteness. Too harsh? Or does the gold warm it up enough? Any thoughts?

Would this be primarily a summer watch? I think the white is fine for summer and spring-looking-to-summer, but might be out of place in cooler months. It reads as a pop of bright color, and the gold does tone it down but is still summery.

KL, yes, I was thinking of mostly spring and summer. My dominant climate is hot weather.

I think this is a fab watch! I especially like the combination of gold with white, which I think is a refreshing change compared to always seeing white metals. I think you can wear this pretty much year round, and that you have found a very stylish new watch.

I love this watch but worry about the silicone strap getting dirty fast. The SA I spoke with said it attracts fuzz and lint like a magnet.

Very pretty watch. I think it is very easy for white watches to look cheap but this one looks very nice.

Alicat, it's a great watch! In fact I've been thinking of buying a similar watch from Tommy Hilfiger. Just that the strap in that model is some sort of plastic and not silicon. I think the watch would look great with a red dress and some gold earrings.

You could also go minimal on other accessories by letting this watch be the focal point, and by pairing it with some bracelets?

Thanks, everyone, I am keeping the watch. It's a few steps outside my comfort zone, and I think it's a good stretch for me.

Marianna, thank you for warning me about the strap getting dirty. I may try to use a Mr. Clean eraser on it and see how that works.

I'll let you know, Marianna! If the strap is a bust I suppose I can always take it to a jeweler and get another strap put on.
