Yay or Nay - old Anthro jacket

So I've had this Anthropologie light jacke I've had for a few years and it was my favorite go-to statement piece at one time. I'm not sure if I should keep it or consign/sell it. What do you all think? Yay or Nay?

(Don't get fooled by my streamlined clothing. I have a split personality when it comes to clothes: sometimes I just want to get downright funky and do the opposite thing.)

From what I can see it looks fab! But what is the fit like with your arms by your sides and the buttons closed? Are the sleeves the right length?

The sleeves are a bit long which is normal for regular sizes. I'll retake photos tomorrow morning just to show you the sleeve. (The lighting is horrible at night even with flash).

All in all it's a bit big but if I have layers underneath then fits perfectly. It would be a great jacket going out at night to an event.

That's a tough one. Is it still you, or do you feel done with it? Do you need the money from it's sale to finance more shopping? If you really love it, I think it looks like the kind of coat that won't date easily because it is so unusual. Maybe you could keep it as an interesting evening coat. The length would be perfect for that.

It's a nice coat but if you don't feel fab any more in it, consign it and use the money to buy a new coat that you are excited about. What makes you not wear it anymore? That would be worth analyzing, so you can see what direction to move in next.

I love it on you--love! It looks fresh and modern to me, and beautiful with your coloring. But if you have moved on, then maybe just tuck it into your closet for the future, and you will feel like pulling it out somewhere down the road?

The combination of the big print, the long length and the oversized feel make it seem like just too much coat for you. You could rock it with your high heeled black boots, I think that would resolve the midi-length issue.

Well, I think you could get good money for it... so probably means you should keep it

I think it fits the funky side of your fashion personality very well I can imagine in your climate that having coat options is important. What if you kept it this winter and recorded how many times you wore it to see it it is still something you love to wear? The shape of this coat seems really similar to the one you just bought, so it seems like something you still like to me.

So I took photos of my jacket again with close ups of the sleeves that I have to fold. I still don't think it looks too bad and can wear it out to an evening event to the theater.

I love your jacket! But why don't you just have the sleeves shortened to the right length, and then I think you'll feel better in it.

Or are they made to be folded? I can't tell from the pictures...

When I fold the sleeve, they don't want to stay folded. Anyway, I'm keeping the jacket. It really looks good in person.
