wrap dress 3 ways, does this work

After reading about frocks, I pulled this out having only worn it once to a wedding. I thought I could put it into commission with your help. I have a bootie on one foot and a tall boot on the other, does the bootie work?

I am not crazy about the bootie. I think it would be better with a different bootie, sometime with a more open top.

Other than that I love the dress with boots and the belted cardi's. I don't think it's too "corporate" at all

I love the dress with the cardigans belted, I prefer the looks with the knee high boots. The booties are perfect for trousers IMO.

I think the flat boots make the dress more casual, if you are concerned about the outfit looking too corporate.

What a great dress, and you should definitely get more use out of it! I agree it looks better with the high boot, than the picture bootie, but I wouldn't count another bootie out.

My only suggestion to make it look a little more casual, is to unbutton the cardigans. My trick to keeping the look clean but casual is to only button the buttons just under the belt, that way the cardi looks open, but isn't sliding around under your belt.

I too like the tall boot better with this. And, I agree with Lori- try unbuttoning the cardi and see if that gives off a more casual vibe.

Thanks, you guys, for helping me figure this out...I buttoned the cardigan because I thought I should cover up the top part of the dress a little, I wonder if I could wear the shirt over the dress than with the cardi open over the top...if that makes sense.

Carole, I love all three combinations but agree about buttoning the cardigan lower. If seeing the layer of the tshirt and the dress and the cardigan on top doesn't work could you forgo the tshirt altogether? Or is it needed to make it more modest/work appropriate?

That’s a KILLER dress! You look fabulous in it! Just need to fine tune a few areas of the outfits:

o I’d like to see the knee-high boots close-up. I don’t think that they fit, but it could be the shadows in the blurry picture. Think you can take another pic?
o This type of ankle boot is not right with dresses. It needs a bootie or shootie.
o You need textured hose! The outfit is too flat back. Deadening.
o The cardigans look lovely!
o Not great with the white top layered underneath. Try a turtle neck.

I like how the dress looks with knee-high boots, but the boots look a bit big in the calf to be worn with dresses.

Angie, I will post another picture soon of me in the boots with my textured black hose, I never even considered whether they were to big because they fit my feet so nicely (I have bad feet), I hope I didn't make a mistake in purchasing them...what should I be looking for? I did have textured black hose on in the photo I guess it doesn't show up very well....I didn't think the booties would work, but thought I would just throw those on for your opinion, (don't worry, I didn't go out dressed like that). Turtlenecks don't seem to work very well for me, makes me feel even broader and big chested...but maybe I should give it another go with something very thin or maybe a camie?

Here are pictures of my boots, the boot on the left is my dressier healed boot, was hoping to be able to dress down my two wrap dresses with the riding style boot on the right...Angie, do they look too big. I have another picture with the riding boot tucked into jeans, is that ok?
