In all honesty, I would feel stupid doing that. People would make unfavorable comments or jokes, too.

Straightjacket is a good way to describe it. I mean, maybe if I had a smaller chest I might think about trying it because I do like some pretty eccentric stuff. But definitely a "no" for me.

I don't want to think about what people would say about me if I did that.

I've seen a lot of that look and the puffer off the shoulders look in blogger world. Both seem like the sort of thing one could sustain for a couple of minutes for a photo, and then return to the ordinary way of wearing clothes to be comfortable and cover the body for the current season.

I have really enjoyed reading all the comments and see straight jacket and child's painting smock. Shedev, I also would really like to see this from the back. The little bit of white at the neckline makes me wonder if she is wearing a white blouse underneath.

Well not that one, but I have definitely turned around shirts and sweaters when the back dips and I prefer how it looks in the front. If I were in a very fashion forward environment, I might try something like this too .

At church today I was sitting behind a college aged young lady wearing a classic cardigan backwards so it was buttoned up the back. She owned the look and I want to try it.

I like the way she looks, but it would drive me crazy to feel choked at the neck like that. Agree with UmmLila that it's reminiscent of the puffer-slipped-off-the-shoulders photo-shoot style: appealing mostly to the very young and discomfort-impervious? Something about that mock-turtleneck effect in a loose plaid woven shirt IS fresh, though. I can see why it made you stop and look!

I did it... when was 14:-)...and still remember quite well that it didn't feel me, so I say nope. BUT I have had a unique cowl "V" neck and big buttons down on the back baby cord navy dress in college that I designed myself, wore it proud and felt special and different in. But, you know, that had been a very clever cut and only looking like was I was wearing it backwards front but really I wasn't! It had some seams on the bust/waist and hips...so all good and comfy:-)...

Lyn67, you dress sounds like fun. It would probably be a hit with college girls today worn with leggings.

I've worn a cardigan buttoned up and backwards, but a button-front collared shirt worn backwards just looks too silly to me.

I have so many questions! How did she get into that outfit? Did someone have to button up the back for her? Or is the back mostly open? Not being a fashion blogger, I would just look silly and all my coworkers would assume it was some sort of joke.

Maybe for an it girl in some quirky cafe in NYC ... Not for me tho

I wouldn't. For one it just looks uncomfortable. But I'm sure there's someone who could pull it off and look great.

Nope. I think it looks awkward, and having a large chest would make it even MORE awkward for me!

Just when I'd decided to at least try on new proportions or styles even when I'm sure they won't work for me...!

Frankly, I'm more bothered by her choice of handbag and footwear.

Yes I would definitely try this. If it was comfortable - I'd go for it. Why not???? It might be fun!!!

The sleeves of the shirt are nice. It's not a plain plaid shirt, it has a. Fresh cut, but I wouldn't wear it backwards.

Funny, why not? But probably uncomfortable.
