Of course I think it's good idea, I just bought two pairs of Joan & David shoes, in nude and in brown.
You'll get a lot of use out of these for spring and summer, and they'll provide a good accent for your neutral palette. I like the fact that the two pairs are accenting the opposite tee straps between the bold color and the white, as it makes it less obvious that they're the same style.
