There's been lots of talk about linen for summer, so I thought I'd review this linen dress I bought from J Jill.

Mine is a 2x, and the "india ink" color which is very deep, rich navy. According to their size charts, I should have gone up a size, but I decided to go with my usual size, and I'm glad I did. The fit is ... perfect. The armpits don't gape, it fits at the bust and then the slight A line shape skims nicely over the midsection. I'm 5'4" and it hits right at the knee. The fabric is a substantial linen, completely opaque, but still nice and airy. The down side is that yes it wrinkles like crazy. The upside is that when it gets over 90F (32C) I don't seem to care. My office is HOT, and even though sleeveless, this dress is modest enough to wear without a topper (or cami) in all but the most conservative of workplaces. I've attached a photo of three times I've worn it - sans topper, with a cardigan, and with a fringed kimono thingy. I like it so much I've ordered this one in black.
