WIW...red (cropped) trousers.

The red trousers from an earlier post got made over. Cropped with a nice cuff. Photo off due to angle of pic, but length is 3 inches above ankle bone.

Navy and white striped shirt - BR
Red trousers - Tahari
Navy leather flats - Jessica/Sears
Pile of Pearls - Nordstrom
Red kneckerchief - MWWH
Red bag (hidden) - Tommy Hilfiger

This outfit was comfortable and made me happy. DSs were able to keep track of me in the early morning work crowd while I acted as their urban Sherpa. Pics taken at the restaurant in Nordstrom!

Wow Carla! The pants are GORGEOUS. I don't wear bright pants as trying not to draw attention to my nether regions. I wonder if you can make me change my mind? Length is perfect. YLF.

Good colour combination. It's so nice to see people in non-neutral colours!

Jenni (and others), I would like to encourage you to dare to wear bright pants! An effective trick is to repeat the colour of the pants somewhere near your face, as RunCarla does here with a red scarf. (The colour could also be repeated in a top or topper or in a necklace or in statement earrings.) Repeating a colour from your "bottom half" on your "top half" creates balance. Besides, colour near your face brings attention to your face, your smile and your eyes. And "if people are watching your eyes, they will not be watching your thighs". (Quoting Imogen at the "Inside Out Style" blog.)
