WIW...inspired by WAngieW yesterday...

I apologize for popping in and out and being sporadic with comments. I love it here so much but every time I sit down to post or reply I end up rushing off in another direction...

So yesterday I was reading Sveta's post about JCrew sweaters. Angie has a few replies, but in one of them she comments on what she's wearing that day (yesterday):http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....o-consider

I have an immediate lightbulb moment as I picture how fab she must look! Blue with black! Light belt & boots with black bottoms! Ah! I could do something like this!

So today I met some friends for lunch, and pushed myself a little out of my comfort zone by pairing Blue with Black, and then pushed myself a little further by adding white belt & booties. How did I do? My friend was gushing over my boots so mustn't've been too bad? I felt pretty good. The pants are a local designer and are made of a sort of thick knit material. I rarely wear them, but am vowing to put them into more regular rotation. They are as comfy as sweats!!

This looks great on you! Light shoes with dark pants is out of my comfort zone as well. I think you pull it off well here. The light belt and the lighter cuffs on your sleeves make it work, to my eye.

Jackie, this is a great outfit - but what else could it be when it was inspired by Angie?
Interestingly I don't have a problem pairing light footwear with dark pants -it the way around for me: I find it hard pairing black footwear with white or light pants...

Very nice! I do have a hard time pairing light footwear with dark pants, and will now have to push myself out of my dark shoe comfort zone. You look fantastic!
