WIW: White Jeans & Wayfarers (ETA sunnies close-up)

Yesterday was a great day - I got back my white jeans from being hemmed and my prescription sunglasses arrive! So both are coming out to play today.

I've paired my white jeans (which are sized up skinnies for a slightly slouchy look) with my hi-low hem striped merino wool sweater. This might make for a slightly seasonally confused outfit but it is still in the minus temps here so it makes sense to me. The white bottoms pull out the white stripe in the sweater and I've added more white by using my new handbag (which I can tell is going to be a major workhorse and favourite for me) and my footwear is the SE python booties.

I hope you like this as much as I do 'cause my happiness factor is WAAAAAAAY up there! However, if you see something I should tweak, please let me know. All comments/suggestions welcome.

I don't find it seasonally confused, it looks great for the temps and the weather right now. Love the colors of the sweater, and the jeans are perfectly slouchy.

The new sunnies are amazing, Shannon!!! Love them! And I also love how the sweater has both lighter and darker colours, with the white stripes tying the entire outfit together. Definitely a happy outfit!-)

Love this! I bought white jeans over the weekend, just have to be brave enough to wear them. I am afraid I am going to end up a giant dirtball at the end of the day.

Love the new sunnies and it's quite the adequate to your wheather, IMO. Love whites for spring of any kind. Snowy or not snowy. But I never did myself yet.(white jeans in snow). I like it, but find it too fashion forward for my environment:-(.

Nothing to be tweaked, looks perfect as is! Don't you just love white jeans? I wore mine yesterday, also slightly sized up skinnies, and a different pair the day before. If you are anything like me, you will have to stop yourself from wearing these every day, they look that good. And I love the new sunglasses!

I think you look great and not seasonally confused at all. The white skinnies and sweater look sort of spring-ish but they will keep you warm in your freezing temps. I really like how your booties work with the white skinnies. I should look for some lighter booties like yours to wear with my white skinnies next fall/winter. I didn't wear them as often as I would have liked because I struggled with shoes to wear with them.

Ceit - I had white jeans years ago and hardly ever wore them because I was afraid of getting them dirty. Well why did I buy them then if I didn't intend on wearing them? Break out your white jeans honey and be BRAVE!

Ornella - I adore this sweet vintage lamp that I found at Goodwill for $4.99. It reminds me of one in my Grandparents' living room when I was little.

Suz - I wish I had bought the sweater in the other color combination available when I bought this one. It had a black background with stripes in taupe, cream and coral. It would have been brilliant to de-bomshell our portobello skirt.

Claire - I'm so in love with these sunglasses it's crazy! I can't even remember how many I tried on and some were fine but none of them made me tingle, you know? Then I tried these on, which I was sure would be waaaaay too big for my face and literally clapped my hands when I looked in the mirror and said "yep, I'll take these". Awesome sunnies!! Are they an oversized style that I'm unfamiliar with, or do I just have too big of a head for wayfarers? I don't think the outfit is confused at all - the weights all jive, there is white in the sweater, and the snakeskin booties are a perfect transitional shoe.

You know Rae - I have no idea if they are an oversized style or not since I've never had sunnies or Wayfarers before. They are certainly oversized on my stupidly narrow face - and BTW, i don't think you have big head - lol!

Una - I was a bit worried about the jeans getting all slushed up but today I wasn't going to be outside too much (mostly from the house to the garage to the office kind of thing) so figured I'd be ok. If it was a day with more walking outdoors, I wouldn't have worn the white jeans. Our sidewalks and streets are just a huge mess of dirty water, slushy show and salt from the roads.
