WIW Wednesday while having camera troubles

I broke my camera a week and a half ago, and I've been going through the tortures of the damned trying to find a suitable replacement. Finally ordered a used version of the one I broke, but am not at all happy with the photo quality. ARGH!!!

Anyway, had a meeting with some Very Important People today so decided to suit up. I swear, though, this jacket got to be a little too big, like RIGHT after I bought it and cut the tags and wore it and put a brooch in the lapel and rendered it non-returnable. But it's close enought and dang it, I'm gonna wear it!

Tan skirt and jacket: Halogen
Pink/yellow/brown watercolor print sleeveless top: AT Loft
Nude microfishnets: Oroblu
Off-white patent pumps: Madden Girl
Multi-strand pearls: J. Crew via eBay
Brown belt: thrifted

I really wrestled with this outfit but felt like the pearls and pearly off-white pumps kind of made it work. What say you all?

Beautiful top, and I love that you paired it with a soft pinstripe. I can see what you mean about the jacket but it still looks good. Actually I have a similar suit that I have trouble wearing with anything besides black, so thanks for the idea. I think maybe in this outfit I would pick up the belt color with the shoes rather than the pearls. Still looks good as is though.

Well you don't look like you fussed at all here. If you cuff the sleeves and push them up closer to the elbows, even better!

I like it a lot! The only thing I can think of is to swap the belt for one in a soft color that's picked up in the blouse (so pink, yellow, cream...). I really really like the way the pearls and heels brighten this up.
