WIW: Two more pattern and black outfits...

1) Trouve track pants, Ann Taylor peplum top. I wore a chunky necklace with this but didn't get a picture.

This is the only peplum that has ever looked good on me. The front doesn't have a seam, and the back does and is longer. Plus it flows away lower than where my waist would be. And these track pants have become a bit of a workhorse, considering I only bought them to test out the look on sale.

2) Old twisted argyle sweater, Kut skinnies, oxblood slip on oxfords. Nothing new here.

Both look good to me. I like the stripe on the track pants and how the sweater brings in the dark red trend.

Oh wow - I don't think I've seen those track pants before! Looks like a really cool print! I really like that peplum top on you - the way the back is longer than the front is cool. I've never been able to find a peplum top that worked with my non-existent waist and I just gave up even trying them on after awhile - it really seemed futile!
I was thinking the same thing that Shevia was - the second outfit is bringing in the dark-red trend with the color in the sweater - and also in your shoes. Are the skinnies black or gray? If gray, do you know if they are still around? I really like this outfit too - you do the oversized over skinny so well!

Marley, these are black but they also come in grey.

The Trouvé pants are still out just in a new pattern. Will see if I can find them
ETA: maybe they are gone now. I got these really cheap.

Ooh, that first outfit is fab.The peplum gives you a really smooth, svelte line that works beautifully with the volume of the pants. It's a bit of a departure from the silhouette I usually associate with you (like the second outfit) but I think it works well.

I really like both too. The hem on that sweater is very nice. I remember the harlequin sweater. It still looks fab.

The silhouette is really great in your first outfit, Una. The nipped waist combined with the fluid pants create just enough structure. Love it! I also adore your second outfit. The skinny pants balances the top perfectly. No need for any changes, these should both be in heavy rotation.

The peplum top looks great! I really like the longer back - it's an unusual detail. The outfit with the argyle sweater looks good too. I like the white in the pattern to make it brighter than I usually associate with argyle.

Haven't you been at your new job for about a year? These outfits are so much more "you" than the ones you were forcing yourself into at the beginning. I'm curious-what changed? Your confidence in the job? They adapted to your style? Was the workplace not as formal as you thought? Or are you leading the charge in fashion, opinion be damed? Or am I missing it and these are not for work outfits?

More confidence in the less formal dress code. In fact, one of my co-workers came in sporting slouchy jersey pants and said she was inspired by me! So maybe I'm ruining the dress code?
