WIW Tue - shiny and silver and triangles oh my

Went to Olive Garden for a lunch date with BF. Road testing the BF fit tee shirt with the 'mermaid' shiny shorts. Went with silver shoes and jewelry and more triangles with my necklace to echo the shorts.
Tee behaved just fine. Even bent over the sink to find, because of its drape, it doesn't gap any worse than other cotton ones I own. Did 'in action' pics and different lighting (since I had a photog handy ). I'm keeping it.
Hair up and not done since it was 95 and sticky as you could possibly imagine. The say next week a dip below 90 degrees. I hope so.

Happy to hear all feedback. I am keeping the shirt. But I have a thick skin, so if any tweaks to how to style it better are on your mind, please share. If short shorts or bra flash are an issue for you, know that they are not for me. Thanks!

I can't quite tell if you've got the shirt semitucked...I think you do. What would happen if you exaggerated the semituck? I wonder if that would help some of the draping fall even more nicely?

Gigi, good eye, I have both the front and back (after reading this morning's blog post ) semi tucked. My fitbit is bulging under it, I can see though - oops. Normally I just tuck in the front. Will try all versions!

Looks great Mo! I really like all the silvery shine (pretty bra included!) to dress up what is, no matter how pretty the drape, still just a tee. Glad to hear the road test went well. I've a hunch that this type of drapey tee would net better use for you than a similar plain white one. I'm with Lisa though, at 95F and sticky, I'd be jumping right into that lake ^^

Only you could wear a cashmere top in 95 degree humidity and still come out looking cool. Instead of clothing contributing to you looking better I think you do all the clothes a favor by making them look terrific.

Mo, I saw the link to the blog post and was going to comment yesterday. I don't think the t shirt is too big at all. I like that slouchy look in a fabric that drapes nicely and it works well with the shiny shorts. That bracelet reminds me of the dress Marion Cotillard wore at the oscars a few years ago. Very cool.

You look fantastic in short shorts, and I just love those brocade J. Crew's. I usually wear my shorts a little longer, but WOW, I might have to purchase those those and show a little more leg!

Does the drapey tee cling? I've had some that did and I didn't like that in the heat. I currently have some cotton/linen ones that don't and I love them.

Your accessories and bra are gorgeous too. Hopefully the heat will break soon!

I figure short shorts now at 44 will eventually fade out of my closet through attrition by 50 and I'll slowly be lowering the hemlines as I go
For the questions on the tee - it is 10% cashmere and 90% modal, so not like a sweater, but oh so soft. I also think the low armholes are a blessing in the heat. No sweat issues. I discovered this with a $5 Old navy white tee several years back and never forgot it. That tee is still white, since no deoderant or sweaty pits come into constant contact.
I'm glad some of you appreciated my repetition of theme with the triangles and the shiny. I do aim for this on purpose often (it's one of my rubric words). I know it's too matchy matchy for some tastes, but I like the visual cohesion it lends, especially when dealing with only 2 or 3 pieces in summer dressing.
I will be curious to see how different faux tucks would look, as the tee is almost tunic length and despite it's drape, there can be a lot of fabric pool if I don't watch it. Can't wait to try with jeans and my knee high Frye Julia's when I get home, honestly!
