Usually I post my WIW's day-by-day. But I decided I wanted to try it a week at a time for a while, for a couple reasons:
1 - One of my goals is to create a more cohesive style across multiple outfits, less chaotic and less like multiple personalities. There are some deeply personal emotional and psychological motivations for this, which I won't go into publicly, but am happy to talk about if anyone is curious and wants to pm me. Seeing my outfits in chunks, I think, will help me better determine if/when I'm meeting this goal, and how I can better achieve it.
2 - I guess I don't have another reason LOL that's the main one. Although I have noticed that since I stopped posting a daily WIW (I did on Monday, but that was before I had decided this) I've spent more time thinking about other things like purging, planning, execution, styling certain items etc, and less about "omg what am I wearing right now" and I think that's positive.

So here they are, Monday-Friday:

Monday: The punk (or Goth, as E said) ballerina look. I felt very springy in this, because the fabric was so floaty and ethereal and has gold thread throughout, despite being in all black. There is a micro-mesh shirt layered under the dress, since it has no sleeves and a plunging v-neckline with halter straps. My makeup was dramatic on the eyes, and softened with pink lips and flushed cheeks. Finished off with art-deco style gold and pink jewelry.

Tuesday: Playful FFBO, and my bangs were a greasy mess so I pinned them to the side. Looks a bit mod, no? Very minimal jewelry, I was rushing and basically didn't have time to put anything else on. I love this sweater and tend to wear it when I need a pick-me-up. Since we had just gotten half a foot of snow, it was sorely needed! My lips were a really cool orchid color, a combo of some pink and purple lipstick. Pics don't do it justice.

Wednesday: Utilitarian simplicity. The jacket is a dark olive, but looks brown in some lights. I love all the pockets and details. You can't see them well in these pics, but the shoulders have a buttoned shoulder strap. The shirt underneath is a fluid short sleeve boatneck tee in Indian Blue, and those are my new brown boots. Was really happy with my hair that day, it's wavy as a result of blow-drying it to just damp then pinning up in a bun for about an hour while it dried the rest of the way.

Thursday: Retro fun!! This midi skirt has been a challenge to style, but I think I finally got it. I have a similar one in navy that was a disaster when I wore it, and that almost made me get rid of them both. I'm glad I didn't. The brooch could be obnoxious in some settings, but I think it works with this outfit, and I wore a small pearl on thin gold necklace to match it. Not to overdo the pearl theme, my earrings are small gold spheres (I do have large faux pearl earrings lol). I also really love this tortoiseshell belt, it is becoming a workhorse, and really pulls things together in a way that a solid black belt can't. Plus I love that it works with brown or black, since I don't wear brown nearly as often as I do black.

Friday: Feminine rocker chic. I like that the polka dots and ruffles on the shirt add some softness to the look. I layered a bright pink tank underneath for extra warmth and because the shirt itself is quite short, which would result in some inappropriate belly-baring at work lol. We are going to see a friend's band play a show tonight, so I wanted to look casually cool, I think it works.

Looking across all these, I feel like I have achieved some consistency. The retro Thursday outfit might be the outlier, but it is definitely one of my favorite looks. The fact that my hair styles change so often creates a bit of a mashup too, but the bangs being there most the time help with that.

What do you think? Does this week look hectic or together to you?
Which day/outfit is your favorite, and least favorite?
If you were to change anything about any of the outfits, what would you change? Thanks in advance, I appreciate any and all input!
