I have to admit JulieJohn's post got me off my butt from procrastinating, to finally get dressed to walk for some late lunch.
I struggled a little. Wanted to get the thick cinch belt out of the way, but only have one tunic here appropriate to wear it with. Unfortunately the belt is warm tones, and the outfit cool, so unless I donned my platform Lucky sandals, it wasn't going to work (pic 3). Much as I love those platforms, I'm not walking a mile and a half in them, especially just a day and a half before a 5K race.
So . . . on to the other cinch belt that has cool tones. Second problem, my high waist (pic 2). I like to wear them just below, on the muffin top lol. You can see the belt slanting up towards my actual waist if you look closely (pic1) Hope it stays there during the walk!
It's 71 out, so pleasant enough for pants. Boots for comfort (again pre-race I don't want aches or blisters).
Part of me wanted to toss that cognac belt earlier this summer, but I have to again remember I have sweater dresses, and cognac knee high boots back in CA. Can't be too hasty!
