WIW: Striped blazer, red cowl neck & new clutch

My MIL bought me this beautiful clutch yesterday and I wanted to use it right away, so that was the starting point for my outfit this morning. I've paired this clutch with my black/white striped blazer, a red cowl neck tank and a pair of simple black trousers. On my feet today are my Clarks shoes (almost shooties). On top of everything when I head out the door is my black quilted jacket. For jewelry today, I'm wearing my vintage black enamel/gold/faux diamond bracelet.

What do you think of this outfit? How is the pattern mixing with the animal print clutch and striped blazer? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

What a cute clutch! Your MIL has great taste! I think it goes great with the outfit because it ties into the red but it's not totally matchy matchy because of the animal print. Love your striped blazer and quilted jacket too. They add great interest while still staying neutral. Perfect!

I see a few Nygard pieces have been making it into your WIWs lately. I find they fit quite well for me too.

I agree with Rae about the reds. I like that they play with each other but aren't too same. I also really like the quilted jacket. It really is getting chilly in the mornings. I had the heated seats on in my car the other day.

Dianthus - yep, I like a good Nygard item here and there. It usually fits me pretty well and the quality is always excellent. This quilted jacket is going on three years old now and still looks fantastic.

Carole - I started adding the close up shot of accessories a while ago since I think many details don't show up in the whole outfit. Maybe gives others a clue as to why I chose a particular piece, you know?
