It is still in the upper 90's F when fall starts in my area. I try to compensate by wearing summer type clothing in fall colors. As in summer, accessories are strategic players in helping me transition the looks.

1) Thanks to Una, this comfy cotton dress has been an absolute favorite. Paired it with a new snakeskin clutch that my wonderful sis gifted me for my birthday. Also wearing metallic leaf earrings and sandals with a touch of cream and black snakeskin for an additional print mix.

2) Another HOT day. I wanted something to bookend the lighter flats, so I grabbed the scarf. Too hot to wear around my neck, so thought it would be fun on the satchel.

I wasn't feeling the best in this outfit. Maybe it has too many classic pieces in it? Or maybe I need to retire the tee shirt dress?

3) Wore to church. Rain lowered our temps by 15 degrees so quickly put on new rust colored cotton poncho from Old Navy! This is a new color for me and I'm in love! Everything else is ancient.

4) Going to a potluck tonight, so wanted to change into pants. Same poncho as 3 and color is off in this light, but the pants print showed up much better in the photo when taken outdoors. Dash of pewter and silver to kick it up a notch.

I like the poncho, but if y'all think the shape overwhelms, please advise. I might have on rust colored goggles, LOL!
