I got enough sleep last night so I was able to properly focus on figuring out my outfit this morning--no need to resort to the FFBO of a dress. I'll post pictures later today. Today I went smart casual with some new pieces in styles I don't usually wear: this Madewell chambray courier shirt, with the front knotted, and rolled up J. Crew chinos. I paired it with a Madewell necklace and the Dansko sneakers. The outfit would definitely look even better with the grey AGL oxfords but I wasn't willing to risk my new AGL oxfords in the rain.

I'm very pleased with the proportions of this outfit--the boxiness of the blouse is reined in a bit with front knot, but at the same time it serves to balance out my lower half and visually slims my thighs in comparison.

The J. Crew chinos were only $19.99 in the store if anyone is interested in them. They do run slightly large--I was surprised a size 2 fit me so well. There was a 2P that also fit but more snugly so I went with the 2 even though I liked the length of the 2P better.

ETA: pictures up!
