Hi Ladies,

I hope it's ok to link to Angie's "New Blouse : Upscale Silk Sweatshirt" post! I know this isn't a sweatshirt but I guess it is a variation of the concept.

I came home from shopping the other day to read Angie's blog post, having just bought this tee. It has jersey 3/4 sleeves and back and silky front but not band.

I have been looking for one like this for ages. Tried quite a few but they were never 'right'. Came across this one when I wasn't looking and I think it fits the bill. The length works for me, the tones are what I like and it can be worn with something layered over it, or on it's own.

Today I wore it to work over ponte pants, tucked into my flat boots and a jersey jacket over it.

I have a long period of buying and returning as I tried to update for Winter but I have managed to add three new things here to my wardrobe. The tee, the jacket (which replaces one that is not as nice) and my leather bracelet (which I have been wearing instead of my watch).

I think this outfit is pretty typically 'me'. It felt good and I can see myself wearing the jacket A LOT. It should work over pants, dresses and skirts.

It looks just the job Deb. I'm trying to make out the design. Is it trees? I'm really liking the proportions in your outfit and I like the edginess of boots and bracelet.

Great outfit, you look very "you"! Of course I love the top, my style, my colour, can you spill the beans please so that I can try it too. Had no luck with the scarf I tried to copy from you, my local store didn't have it. Would it travel well, I am looking for a top for flights that is comfy, warm but not too warm?

Interesting that you have only found 3 items so far- I have had a similar experience this year. I am VERY picky about, to quote you 'What finds a place in my wardrobe.'
The leather bracelet ties in nicely with the cooler-weather feel of this outfit too.

Carol the silky tee is from ... wait for it.... Big W!! It was all of $20.00. The front is polyester. Not the best poly I have seen and not the worst. I wore it all day today and it was comfy and not sweat inducing. The black jersey jacket would be awesome for traveling. That is from Rockmans and currently on sale. I can always pick something up for you if your store doesn't have it.
Do you mean the tiger scarf? Do you want me to check if my local store has it?

Thanks Deborah, I must get me to Big W asap. Will also check out the jacket but I already have too many black jackets for my needs lol. Yes, it was the tiger scarf but I decided it wasn't meant to be, and picked up one from Rockmans instead that also incorporates some blue and greens that are featuring in my winter wardrobe.

Yes I think we are becoming more and more particular which is good in one way but it can be frustrating when you want some new goodies:) These ponte pants are a couple of years old but I did wear the new Zara ones to church on Sunday. I loved them but I didn't get a pic, I will next time Oh and thanks for the hair comment. As far as I was concerned, I was having a bad hair day today so you have made me think it may not have been as bad as I thought lol.

This is fabulous, and very much you indeed! The blouse has a lovely pattern and looks really versatile. The jacket and bracelet should work with a lot in your wardrobe, too. Great finds!

Carol I couldn't find the top online but I have the tag still. FYI it is W14 EPT 6358378940 / Woven Print Tunic / Soft Dressing. I bought it in a 14. The 12 fit but I sized up for a fraction more room. There was not a lot between the 12 and 14. Just to give you an idea on the sizing. It was funny I went into Big W to buy Master 11 some runners for school ad ahem came out with runners and the top

It is worse when you come out with a new top and NO runners for your child

My hair can frizz (it is naturally curly) in this weather but I have found a safeguard against the frizz, particularly if I am out doors for any length of time.... I bought a slouchy beanie!!

ETA hah, reading the other responses now I see you've answered my question already.

Chiming back in to add that I spent a picky half hour in Target today. I saw styles that I like - cropped tops, silky tees, a moto - but the fabrication was mediocre quality or the colour was NQP.
Not only did I not buy a thing, I wasn't even faintly tempted.
This place has made me so picky!

Deborah - this is a really lovely outfit. Great addition of the slouchy tee and I love the gradations of color. Such a hard item to find because you have to find the perfect length and hem line and this is so fabulous. I love this jacket on you. - the folded shawl collar the lower back it drapes is such a pretty and flattering way. Really great pieces. Love the bracelet too!! I was going to comment on how gorgeous you hair looks too. The line is stunning and beautiful shine, color - you could be a hair model for sure!! So jealous (shout out to Lyn) just not enough product in the universe for this humid weather to tame the frizz!!
