Howdy everyone! Long time no post. I've been on vacation. And just a bit of a break from the forum. I missed you all!

Here are a few things I've worn recently:

1. Light blue linen sweater outfit worn in June that is nearly a copycat of Suz's recent post! I vote "great minds!" However, I do think this looks better in person than in photos. Photos flatten the sheerness of the sweater and the contrast of the white tank underneath and make this loose and breezy look look, ummmm, unflattering. Or so I see it.

2. Black and navy and white outfit from work yesterday. Nothing too exciting going on, but this was a fun revelation because Angie reminded me that I could wear my leather jackets nearly year round in the PNW and I realized how right she was! (Plus pre-YLF, I was still hanging on to the idea that navy and black shouldn't be mixed. Pfffft. Crazy.)

3. Today's outfit for casual Friday at work. Gingham boy shirt, silver metallic belt, white jeans, black and silver snakeskin sandals and my olive purse. Olive, the most underrated neutral! Texstyle inspired me to post this one because I normally wear it on the weekends with my charcoal cargo skinnies.

Welcome back. Your work style is professional, polished and chic. I love the gingham shirt on you!!!! I think the blue sweater looks fine in photographs, but take your word that it is better in person.

You look great in all of these! I actually really like the soft colors in #1, not unflattering at all, and it's clear that the sweater is a light material. What are the booties? I've been looking for a bootie in that silver gray (not taupe).

@Rabbit, thanks! The booties are Vince Camuto, the VC Signature line. They're called "Adinah." The quality is great and the fit is excellent. I think they call the color "lapis," which makes me laugh because it looks nothing like what I associate with lapis.

Looking fab KP! I adore #1, you rock that light blue with white (a color combo crush of mine, I have to be honest ^^). The blue booties are especially fun! The navy and black look great together, and hooray for realizing leather jackets are year-round toppers. Totally true. The Gingham looks great too, I can see it also working well with the skinny cargos. What, no curls?

The sweater looks good in the photos, but I actually agree with you. It has not only a sheerness but a hint of shine that doesn't come across well in pictures. When I first posted mine some people did not like the colour on me. Today people raved about it! I think it had to do with the way the light was catching it when I took the picture. It's that changeable, mermaid, watery tone that just doesn't come across as well on the screen as it does IRL. Which is really just a long way of saying, you look amazing in the photo, but I know you looked even better in person!!!

I like all of them! The bag in your middle outfit caught my eye--and a very polished looking outfit overall. And an olive bag in outfit 3? It's hard to make out, but I agree it's an underrated neutral (and my latest fave). Maybe linen knit just doesn't photograph all that well; I've had the experience you describe here with it (i.e., looking better in real life).

Funny how some items do not photograph well; I have a dress like that. Sculptural pieces photograph well but softer items not so much.
