WIW: pastel and light neutrals play

I'm searching my closet for light colors with which to thumb my nose at the cold weather. I'd like your opinions and suggestions on these pieces.
Coat : JCrew via consignment
Trousers: thrifted wool lined BR light camel. These barely made the cut last year but seem to fit well. They need some heel at this length.
Tee: Target
Jacket: Halogen, last year
Belt: Calvin Klein, bought long for jeans
Scarf: Oscar de la Renta via consignment
Booties: DV taupe metallic wedges
1. Trousers w/ coat over tee
2. Tee, belt and trousers. ( I see that my belt shortening is at a bad angle)!
3. Tee worn untucked with scarf
4. Trying Angie's casual layering formula of long tee and scarf worn loose under a jacket, but with the trousers rather than jeans. (Just realized I need a shirt too for the formula). http://youlookfab.com/2013/12/.....al-layers/
5. Halogen blush jacket, scarf and belt. Is it too much? This was the way I planned to wear the outfit later but am now doubting this choice. Ideas?

My personal favorite is 3 because I am strictly no tuck and love that scarf! I'm not so sure about that belt, but listen to other belt experts...I don't even own one!

This colour palette on you is breathtaking! And lucky you, to have two blush jackets to play with.

I'm fairly new to semitucking and belting, so I don't feel like I can weigh in on whether 5 is too much or not. But I do love the sleekness of the first 3 options.

Loving these soft colors combined - my favorite looks are 1 and three for their clean lines. I do think 5 is too much – the scarf and belt are showing about the same shape and competing for attention.

I think #5 would be great without the belt. The scarf is beautiful and really ties all the soft colors together.

Thank you each for your helpful comments. I removed the belt for today and am wearing the light cotton Halogen jacket under the wool coat and the scarf loose, at least until it drives me crazy. I will carry a light grey ostrich textured tote that will accommodate a notebook and class stuff.
I tried the casual layered ensemble like 4 above but with a leopard print shirt, but didn't get photos. It is lots going on with the scarf but I kind of liked it and will file the idea away. My grey toned chambray shirt would be a better choice but is not in the working closet right now.

I am wowed by #1. That coat is beyond gorgeous on you! You wear these colors so well. I also love 5, especially when picturing your decision to remove the belt.

Look at all your pretty pastels! They look beautiful on you. Aren't you going to have some fun with the pastel line-up this Spring! #1 is my favorite, probably because that coat is just so perfect on you I like to see it take center stage. Love them all though.

Carter I found more pieces that may count as pastels than I knew I had. Stay tuned for some lavender and light blue when days get warmer.
What I'm wondering is if it would be better if more darks are used in these outfits rather than light shades head to toe??

Joy, you look amazing. You are luminous in these soft tones. So lovely. I adore the coat on you. #3 is so soft and pretty. And I also think the outfit with the sweater and belt works. For me #5 is too much with scarf, jacket, and belt -- but you know my minimalist leanings. I do think it would work brilliantly with one or the other (scarf OR belt).

Love these colors on you and that jacket was a real find. The belt is probably white but looks sort of pink on my screen and now I want a pink trouser belt! Are you listening Zara?

Suz, after seeing the photo of 5, I agree that there seems to be too much going on that wasn't noticed by just looking in the mirror. Maybe if the belt were shorter.
Shevia, that belt is pink! Actually pink patent leather and white patent on the reverse.

Totally awesome Joy! Pastels look gorgeous on you and even 'tho #1 and #4 are my favourites, I love all the combinations. And I like the way you've shortened the belt!
