These are the Gap skinnies that Angie recommended. I love the fit and comfort, but they pick up animal hair like mad! I need to dye the dog black.

Also, I think my camera is dying - it took about 80,000 shots to get one in focus.

Better than dying a pony purple like I saw in a promo for Toddlers and Tiaras that assaulted my eyes when I unfortunately stopped the FF on the DVR too soon during What Not To Wear.

Honestly, we were deciding between two dogs at the animal shelter, and a contributing factor to our picking Boo (a black lab mix) is that I wear a lot more black than I do white (other dog was a collie mix). I am with you on this one.

Cute outfit! I really like the skinny's on you. I may have to look into these. I hemmed my work pants too short last year. Did you get the petite?

I do not wear my going out clothes at home. I can really only wear jeans and very sturdy fabrics around my dogs. It has a big impact on how I dress at home and on weekends.

I ended up getting the regular size in ankle length, Rita - they are a tad bit long but I think they've got the Angie-approved amount of scrunch.

Nice outfit!! The pants look great on you (I think I need to swap mine with the regular instead of petite, those petite pants' rises are always too short for me). Love the orange beads with this.

I hear you on the pet fur; my kitty has black, brown, and white so no matter what I've got on he can cover it in plenty of visible fur

christyg, the blazer is KennaT, I got it on sale at Nordstrom last year. It has been very useful because it has a really nice flare at the hem that give a nice curve. There is a very cute cropped ponte tuxedo jacket at Gap that is kind of similar right now...

I know what you mean about the dog hair! I have a black cat, a white cat and a gray cat living at my house right now - so one of them always manages to "go" with me no matter where I go or what color I wear!

I think your outfit looks great too, & I like the short-over-long proportions--I'll have to try that. Thanks everybody for the laughs about dog hair! I love to wear black too, & our 2 dogs, Tex & Tommy, are both black, but Tommy's undercoat is tan/rust (he's a black Dobie/GSD with rust markings). And although Tex is almost all black except for a little white on his chest, he's a very hairy spaniel mix with very fine hair that sticks to everything. So, I've just had to get used to dog hair as a fact of life!

P.S. Shelter workers say that black dogs, especially big black dogs, are harder to find homes for. So anybody who's looking to adopt a dog, please keep that in mind!
